I was thinking about this yesterday after I posted about her constant stream of lies. It's so mad, and she gets away with it in a way that nobody else would.

Let's take a harmless one - the 25k steps lie, for example. Imagine posting on any fitness forum "Well I hate most sports, but I do an average of 25k steps a day just walking around my bungalow, so I reckon I'm doing all right!" The responses - if not open ridicule - would likely be:

"You might want to get your pedometer checked"
"Are you sure? That's about 19km"
"Do you mean 2500? Or 250?"

But Jack gets NONE of this. Maybe at most one or two polite doubts, which are met with "LEAVE JACK ALONE AND duck OFF, WHY DO YOU HATE THE POOR?"

Nobody really questions her, because she Helps The Poor (citation needed), and there's this prevalent belief that her DMs are just millions of people constantly threatening to kill her (broken up by the odd political prisoner asking for help with salad bag pesto) so we all have to be extra kind to make up for it.

If and when she does get exposed, I look forward to the squiggles' reactions. There will be a lot of mental gymnastics on Charitable Middle Class Twitter that week.

Too soooooon

Yes either this - or she has had the most marvellous time with family and friends, who softly, gently prised her away from her desk and made sure she ate just a little something.
The Food Programme might be interesting. In the blurb it says she talked about the Internet, so trolls no doubt. But she was on a high when it was recorded, so she might have said things that in a few weeks time could be a bit 😬
We’ll have to do a special thread with nothing that will offend for any new fraud she sends over. A nice long list of the fuckwittery. Erm, I mean nonsense.

Sorry have I missed something? Has Jack a new food show?

This is the Radio 4 thing she recorded a couple of weeks ago:

I just want to know what vouchers she got for her birthday. Member when she showed us her display.
If I remember correctly, she got a voucher for a FANCY kitchenware place from LJC, she showed a very erm...unique looking bowl that she got from the place, I'll see if I can find the receipts 😆

ETA it was from Culinary (coolinary) Concepts, screenshot (and comment) by @heretoreaditall2019

As much as it pains me to stick up for Jack, I’ve heard ‘Group of Drunks’ or ‘Gathering of Drunks’ at lots of meetings. I think it did begin as a play on words for people who weren’t religious or were anti-God - an alternative so that people didn’t just wash their hands of the programme at the mention of God (if you don’t want God to be your Higher Power then use the power of the rooms type idea).

My issue with what she said was how they all laughed so much their sides split (of course they did, jolly japes all the way). “We’re not a glum lot” is mentioned in the book and we really aren’t - but we’re not meant to be cliquey and the main thing is people should be able to walk in and feel welcome, not like they’re walking into a pre-formed group with in-jokes.

The fact you’ve heard it and it’s considered a bit passé and a bit wrong both convince me that story was jack telling the truth for once.

I call bullshit on the spices. They’re not in any sort of discernible order and I don’t care how her head works, that’s just a performative spectacle that she robbed off Allegra.

ETA: Maybe she’s quiet cos she’s crazy busy working on the Vimes Boots Index. She says she is in her Twitter bio and she wouldn’t lie……..would she?

I think it was the claiming it as her own idea (EVEN THOUGH SHE IS A CARD CARRYING RELIGIOUS PERSON) that left a bad taste with the unknowing fraus. If she’d have said it was an actual AA *thing* it would have been different. But she can’t resist being the font of allll knowledge ever.

I bet the majority of those spices are as old and dusty as Aunt Helen 😑
