MASSIVE APOLOGIES but I am new here and I created this entire account to ask this question. I'm sure it's been asked before so please just link me to discussion - I couldn't find anything BUT HOW is Jack still tweeting as if she is living on the poverty line? She has a successful media career with numerous books. Is she not getting paid? Does it all go to charity? Or is the whole thing faked? So confused.

Lots of it is faked, but she clearly can't budget for toffee ... 3 sideboards in her house valued at 3k each (I think that's right?), hundreds of clothes (enough to dye a bunch black only for them never to be seen again), £105 on vintage spoons, rents a massive house for two people (£1k/month rent and must cost a fortune to heat etc). When she claims poverty she means she can't afford the standard of living she feels entitled to.

I reckon without too much effort posters here could tot up £15k of completely unnecessary stuff in her house...yet she complains she can't afford a forever home!!

WOW. Thank you all so much for your replies and the further reading! I suspected it for a while but wondered why there'd been no tabloid expose of her swanning around in a Range Rover dressed in Gucci. The whole thing makes no sense - she's always working but has no money. Just goes to show that most of the masses take everything at face value and don't question anything. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I need time to digest this! It's Fox News tactics!

Who takes the fakey sleepy photos?! The cat, SB...or the self-timer. :D

Harking back to the previous thread becuse I'M LAZY:
Free means for nothing, chargeless, maybe even for the love of, or as a donation. You can't make a big deal about all the work you do for free and then literally beg for money. Obviously everyone should be paid for their work. In the creative industries it's more difficult to quantify and therefore, arguably, more important to properly cost and properly value what you do. The thing is, she wants to be officially paid, for books and media etc. She's set up her "brand" as a limited company. Get organised, have a strategy, charge properly for what you do. You get more credibility and respect that way.

If you can't do this (and I know it's been said numerous times before) get a JOB! Try it, you might like it. 👍

The photos confirm my suspicion: Yes, a group of people in those T shirts does look menacing. Well done fudgers!

It's incredibly hard to be full time self-employed in the creative industries. Especially at a time when most people don't have the spare cash to prop up independent creators even if they'd really like to. It should be pretty clear though that after ten years of doing whatever she claims her job is, if her rent is bouncing she should at least consider a few days a week in a normie job to support herself rather than begging off other people. I can't stand those who think it falls to others to support them when they will only consider their dream career.

However, I think Jack has figured out her own formula. Donate the fees (or claim to), generate even more via the tip jar and patreon from people who are stupid enough to believe that she's a selfless smol pixie and they are supporting her work. Notice she pushes her tip jar 100x more than she pushes her books.

She won't get a job that pays her the equivalent of what she is raking in currently - who would hire her?

I always read the 14 hour days line and think, 14 hours of prep and you didn't even think to point yourself at the camera? What were you prepping?
She's so performative, everything is an act. It really must be exhausting keeping it up.

Like the soft porn DKL sleeping photo; she's set her phone up on coffee table and done a photo shoot, then picked that one (christ, how bad were the others, Jack?!), then goes on about how busy and important she is. How tiring her amazing life. It's all performance.

Actual busy/tired people? They haven't got time/energy for such nonsense.

The two f** ladies did. Ina has people on quite regularly on her “cooking with friends” episodes. John and Lisa had a show.

Not sure if those examples constitutes a thing.

I would cook with Ina. I would live with Ina.

😎
I bloody love Ina ‘Add a stick of butter and some heavy cream’ Garten. Her food is soooo good! Her husband is so lucky to have her to cook for him.
