+ another recovery 101 is not to do anything big for the first year - relationships, new jobs, moving, anything that isn’t absolutely essential can get in the bin. The more I think about it the more alarmed I am - I can’t express how worried I’d be if I heard a new comer discussing a topless photo shoot they’d done for money, it’s one thing if you *are* an actual Nuts highstreet hunni and that’s how you’ve made a living for years, but if someone new in fresh from a rock bottom had been coerced into such a thing I’d be aghast. I don’t think I’d be able to hold myself back from reaching out and getting involved if I had heard this in a room setting tbh cos it just sounds so awfully exploitative & women get exploited enough, especially some of the more vulnerable women entering recovery who’ve been through some truly harrowing tit already.

If what she’s saying about a depressive rock bottom & relapsing is true then this is really bleeping bad of Diva. I can’t imagine there’s a sponsor involved in this journey at all, like I think Jack is absolutely vile but I’d happily help her out and tell Diva to do one on her behalf with regards to this, just as a fellow who can see what is right and what is wrong. And Diva aren’t right for doing this.

Sorry to be a boring Pearl clutcher as per x
Agree with you 100% but it's not going to be Tit shots is it.
It's going to be a cleavage and a bit of side boob shot, if that.

Please don't think you ever come over as a pearl clutcher at all. Your insights are amazing for me as someone who has never seen the recovery side of addiction. I've only ever seen the fallout from relatives (inc a parent) addicted to alcohol & gambling. It has really opened my mind to seeing all sides.

Clearly Jack is on a high at a moment (I mean mood wise) and that is just building up to a chaos. Which will be Friday unless everyone compliments the Diva article. It seems irresponsible to me for her to be excited about any sort of raunchy pics or in depth interview given her mental health & of course her son.

Same, babe, and sorry to derail I know this isn’t the ☮mental wellness thread☮ nor the personal essays thread:
but really recommend alanon for anyone who feels or has gone through similar to you. Entering a recovery program really helped me manage the emotions around my abusive childhood and find compassion for my dad tbh, and a lot of the ~emotional tool box~ you learn is just really good CBT.

On topic: anyone else not sure what they’re dreading more, these rumoured tax hikes and student loan threshold revisions on Thursday or Jack’s Twitter antics? 😫

Back to this grid design, maybe? Anchovy eggs next?

Today is day seven of the tinned fish era.

My previous (now late) partner used to do this, fixate on one type of food for a few weeks, eating little else. Then get tired of that and move onto something else. An example would be a tin of beans and sausage on toast lunch and dinner for a couple of weeks, followed by two weeks of beef burgers and chips lunch and dinner, followed by omelette lunch and dinner, then tinned stew. He was troubled and drug use played a big part.

It was not healthy, not to mention boring, so I used to make my own meals.

Jack is supposed to be a literal food expert though. This sort of eating is not normal or healthy and she shouldn't be advocating it.

I took this photo tonight and I haven’t edited it, the tree was all of these colours aflame in the night sky. I lent my friend my gloves while I stood beneath it making appreciative noises and random exclamations of joy about how wonderful nature is. I had a moment where I felt happy. I’m writing it down so I remember it, with this visual prompt to take me back. I hope you find some joy in it too.

Hi Instagram bot - what first brought you to the threads about Jack? Also we have our own Slopbot and we play favourites so no hard feelings.

As an accountancy frau - we are not predicting more tax rise announcements on Wed as they just did the additional NIC announcement that will become a new tax. But like anything with this govt - Ruby Rose

Vlad needs to work harder if he thinks his instabot is ever gonna compete with the nimble screenshotting reflexes of Silver and Marmalade - maybe it's a meta commentary on how late Jack often is to discussing trending topics online?

And heaven forbid we ever get a Twitter bot - these threads would be filled in an hour when she goes on a spree 🤣 just 50 pages of tinned fish

My partner has orthorexia traits, he was fruitarian/raw fooder for 5 years, which is very unhealthy (and expensive) in these climes. He ended up quite poorly with very low iron and vitamin D. He needed infusions and injections for a while because of it. He is now vegetarian but a bit obsessed with clean eating atm. For my partner, the restricted eating is a sign that he is troubled, it's more obvious when his anxiety levels are high. For me, it's always questionable when anyone with a platform recommends a type of diet that isn't the 'norm', even a literal food expert
