I hope she does do the show as it clearly means a lot to her if she's been wanting to do one for years (back to when she was begging for cash in 2018 to film one to put on youtubeo_O). Also wouldn't want other peoples jobs at the production company to be lost by loose cannon Jack.

Didn't she use the trolls excuse to pull out of running to be an MP?
She did!

A few weeks back she was complaining at the outrageous amount a production company wanted to film some videos for YouTube ( think it was 3k a day?) then a day later shes bitching the " pay people what they are worth " mantra on another subject , I saw someone point out to her that also applies to the production company and she didn't like it at all

Just here from MN, did anyone else read that thread on her? it had 100 posts and 98 were negative so MN zapped it all as "personal attacks weren't allowed". How does she have this control over MN to delete any thread on her? Jack is one shady ass drama cow and gets away with so much

I saw it - MN zapped it because 'so many posts breaking guidelines.' Sure, Jan. MN let all sorts of rancid tit fly in the way of how some posters interact with one another, but if you are a libellous sort...

And again with the bloody chickpeas.

Jamie made a good looking fish pie on his show, using frozen fish. I know which dish I’d prefer.

Oh no I came here from the MN thread but hadn’t read it yet. I’ve been following her for a long time on twitter and been VERY sceptical of her for most of that time. Perpetual victim. I feel a bit bad focusing on the sex work aspect as I don’t think people should have their past used against them but it’s the lies that annoy me. When she “outed” herself after supposedly being threatened or blackmailed if I remember right she said that she was so broke and desperate that she did it. If that article about domestic violence posted on here is about her that would mean that she had been a prostitute before she was a struggling single mum? I’ve never for the life of me understood how she can have great parents and have been literally starving with her child, and the only explanation she can give is that she was ashamed to ask them for help. What the hell do they think when she’s constantly going on about how she had nothing to feed herself and her child, no heat, selling possessions, doing sex work? And apparently the father of her child is around and presumably pays child support. I’m in Australia so don’t know that much about UK benefit system and I’m sure it is too low but this just seems completely unbelievable. I wonder what will happen if she does continue on a mainstream TV show and her stories get put under a bit more scrutiny......

The one thing that nobody seems to have raised or mentioned in regards to the whole Jamie Oliver VS Jack Monroe debacle, and something that has been bugging me ever since she started her little war on him is this;
If you were to switch their genders and suddenly you had a man waging war on a woman in such a public and open manner as social media, saying the things that she said about him, then this situation would have gone off into the bleeping stratosphere!!!!
Just imagine for a second...."THAT WOMAN" ........"HER"......"SHE"
Jamie Oliver would have been branded a sexist, misogynistic dinosaur who is against the progression of women and equality in modern day society all because a woman had trodden on his perceived territory of tin canned food recipes and gotten a job over him.
Misogny is disgusting and has absolutely no place in society. It's 2020 for fucks sake!
Misandry is also very real and it happens all the time but its just dressed up as a joke, a little light humour, "he can take it he's a man"....
It seems perfectly acceptable to Jack and her little army of followers to behave n that way and cause an absolute tit show over Jamie Oliver getting a TV show and think absolutely nothing of it. Like it's some kind of bleeping revenge for what men have done to woman in the past and so everybody overlooks it.
Just look back at those saved screen shots of her tweets that are peppered throughout this and the previous forum.
Imagine it were a man talking about a woman in that same derogatory and inflammatory manner.
She would have been bleeping crucified and lost all of hope of ever having a half decent career again, let alone get her own TV show.
What on earth makes her think its acceptable to behave in this manner and continuously get away with it?
Sorry Jack but what you did really stinks and I can't actually believe I used to follow you on twitter and admire what you did.
Forget all the other stuff, the Jamie Oliver thing alone is enough to leave a terrible taste in so many peoples mouths and I've lost all respect for the BBC in thinking that somebody who can so publicly attack another person in the way that Jack did, is now suitable enough to front a prime time TV show.
I really hope she does read these forums, because remember Jack.....KINDNESS AND RESPECT transcends either gender. It's a basic human quality that everyone should practice and which every single person is entitled to.
Jamie Oliver had actually done nothing wrong what so ever to you. You didn't lose anything at all because you cant lose what you've never had. You remained completely neutral in your circumstances. But then used the situation to manufacture your own TV show so I guess you're now one up. Congratulations!
As I was always told, you get back what you put out into the world. Just think on that.

Ooh what was the gist of the thread? And opinion on Jack?

I've watched a few JO now, the literally just camera phone ones, and I'm no great lover of JO but I have to say he's hit the nail on the head with what people are experiencing with corona, for example he only had say 130g of caster sugar, so made the rest up with any other sugar. And is explaining why that doesn't matter, and why this can be substituted for that and the mechanics/ science of cooking/ baking and substitutes. All about making do and finding some joy where you can, I imagine Jack thinks it's ridiculous to consider making a chocolate cake at a time like this... Don't assume people have chocolate in their cupboards wahhhhh

It's certainly not just take everything edible out of the cupboard and chuck it all in a pan 🤢 cos that's not the problem that we are having right now

You hardly need to be a bloody expert to come up with that! She may as well have just said, “Step one. Make a curry. Step two. Add fish.” Thanks Jack!

Exactly! Like what ingredients for the curry... Thanks Jack I'll just Google it like I was going to before. But no she thinks it's a miraculous public service for which she deserves a TV show, a knighthood and all her bills paying 🙄

She probably replace any missing sugar with chickpeas!

The problem is you can't even get chickpeas and store cupboard stuff nowadays! You need to think outside of the box now

Oh, it’s not that Jack (or any other celeb) has control over MN, it’s that MN has THE most cowardly moderation policy and delete threads at the drop of a hat.

I would love to scroll back and find these tweets but the likelihood is she has deleted them now!
I was looking at her mum's twitter after her username was posted on this thread, and all of Jack's tweets that her mum had replied to had been deleted

I'm getting a bit uncomfortable with the chickpea bashing here 😆

I bloody love them - roasted, mashed, curried, blended are all great. Before the virus I'd buy a case of 12 but now I'm not allowed to and miss them. So good for making a filling veggie meal from whatever else you have and only 30p a can. Although I'd never have them with tinned spaghetti hoops.

Exactly this! If I want to do baking with the kids and don’t have full amounts of the right ingredients it’s good to know that I can sub in what I’ve got in the cupboard and it will still turn out ok. Also I liked his idea for making pasta sauce from veg that was a little past its best. It gave me a good idea last week as I’d made sausage casserole for dinner and there was a fair amount of roasted peppers and tomatoes left over in the pan that would usually get chucked away, so I whizzed it up and added to mince the next day to make a pasta bake, seeing as tinned tomatoes are in short supply at the moment. Jamie is showing people how to make genuine meals from what they’ve already got or can get, rather than mixing random tins of stuff to make a curried slop
