I mean the book could be different in all fairness but it strikes me as very odd to actually suggest a brand of rice in a cookbook rather than just saying white or brown? Maybe he used uncle Ben's as a costing example somewhere?

(Also a minor aside, people aren't such morons that they're going to rush out and buy a particular brand of rice if they already have other rice at home, they can make that gargantuan logical leap themselves)

I think the uncle Ben's brand was visible in his cookery shows, it's very distinctive packaging, along with waitrose brands plus others. I don't recall him naming brands though.
 
Worked with someone who was a total liability, a bully but also played the victim, a nightmare for HR to try and get rid of. She got drunk one evening and aired some grievances by email also offered her resignation. Management had her hand off and when she had sober regrets and wanted to rescind wouldn’t let her. Far easier than doing a full disciplinary.

They would surely only eat and drink anything if there is no choice.

I make some really cheap meals (my cheapest are red lentil bolognese, red lentil dahl and Miguel Barclays courgette, sweetcorn and feta fritters which all come in at under £1 a head and still manage to get a bit of colour, variety and taste in there). IMaking those ultra cheap meals means I have a bit of money to make some more expensive meals. I bought the ingredients to make tandoori lamb chops with an Indian salad and will make a home made curry sauce to go with them this week which will probably come in about £12 for 4 portions. I am lucky to be in the position right now to buy things like lamb chops and it will be a hell of a lot cheaper than a take away.
 
Hi All! Only just joined here, thought I was the only person seeing this about Jack! Glad I am not alone!

I haven't had time to read all 150 threads dedicated to her special persona, so apologies if this has already been mentioned.

Maybe 4-5 years ago, around the time of the libel case with Katie Hopkins, Jack was very active on a FB group called Mrs Gloss & The Goss. Its a make-up / beauty page. Jack didn't post much about her home life (surprisingly!!!!!), & she was utterly idolised because she was a little bit famous. Anywho, my point is that at that time, she had every bit of high end make up you can imagine. I'm talking multiple £100 eyeshadow pallettes, every designer brand foundation, hundreds of expensive brushes - everything you can imagine at the highest price points possible. And her collection grew and grew, every post seemed to include a new product.

Doesnt fit with her narrative of being skint forever does it!

So many inconsistencies have been exposed this week! Agh! The web of lies!!

I am in this group (🔺️) and didn't realise she was too! Just searched her name and it's a goldmine! No wonder she loved it there, so many of the posts are people fawning over her selfies. Excuse me taking pics of my computer like a boomer but these are a few posts that highlight how much money she's frittered away on makeup. I like makeup and invest in good quality stuff but its the sheer quantity of tit she has!

So, what she's saying, in a nutshell, is.....that she's hard to work with, yes? Since she's aware enough to commit this to print, why did she get her knickers in a god almighty twist when she got some hint of similar feedback after the Hellmans debacle (was it after Hellmans?). She's such a JACKass

Ah! I am so glad someone could dig this up! I left a while ago as I felt old and inadequate next to some of the beautiful faces on there! 😂
