I've just been chairing an online conference session

and my role was to read out questions from the chat to the speaker, obviously I was seconds away from describing them as squiggles out loud. I had no idea what to call them!!
 
She lived rough for 2 years!? Just when I thought her outrageous claims couldn't get to me anymore. She needs to be exposed now.

Any reasonable person in her situation - especially if they were saving for a forever home - would do just that. But her standard retort to anyone who dares to suggest she downsize or move to a less affluent area is that SB has already moved too many times and she doesn't want to subject him to more upheaval. But then she also apparently hasn't paid her rent for 6 months so who the duck knows what's really going on.

Because of her connections, journalists don't see the need to verify her statements and accept them at face value. After all, if she has the backing of MP's, charities and celebrities, et al, what possible reason do they have to doubt her?

Let's not sugar coat it, she is defrauding people out of money, some of whome can barely afford it. Those enabling this are equally culpable.

What she is doing is criminal, and one way or another, one day she will pay dearly for that criminal behaviour.

And HMRC will get her if she is in any way not being transparent with her finances.

I’d mis-remembered and thought it must have been in response to something really personal or private, but nope, it was because, jokes on you suckers, she was posting from her laptop actually, and her phones were charging in the hall! 🤦🏻‍♀️

So I googled Thorpe Bay, don’t know that part of the world, wondered where the crappy bungalow is. And what does google maps make very clear when you look at the area? Swimming pools - lots of them. Not saying she has one, but an area in the UK with lots of swimming pools is not exactly where ‘the poors’ live - even RENTING
 
You see this actually makes me sad.
A small and very worthwhile charity doing excellent work in highlighting the issue of food and fuel poverty and trying to reach out and support all people feeling low and isolated and vulnerable.

So Jack because she has the tag poverty campaigner is used as a reference point and people are asking for donations of her books?
To help people?

Jack does not deserve to be in that position i actually believe she is doing more harm than good and yet because people think she is doing something worthwhile her cookbooks are being offered as some kind of solution?
That makes me feel a bit sick.

When really she is the last person on earth that people should be turning to.
Obviously this is not the fault of the charity they are doing this in good faith.
Its just in my mind jack is the part of the problem not solution?

I hate the thought of lonely or struggling people getting sent her book i'm really sorry to be judgy about this, but i can't see how that would really help?

Surely there are other chefs or bloggers or food writers who could be more helpful or useful as a recommendation or resource?

Even i get depressed sometimes watching or thinking about jack god knows the effect she could have on people who are already in a low mood? :(

Exactly! I am not British and I last lived in Britain in about 1892 and even I can safely say this is NOT Yorkshire pudding!! I love Yorkshire pudding, btw and I can't get my greedy but clean nailed goblin hand on them and I know my limits and would not attempt making them out of respect.
Those things she posted look like ready bought crusty pie cases that you can bung veg and cheese in.
 
The Metro article led me to look at Google News to see what else was out there, and some of the "Monroe condemns food allowance" stuff made me wonder if she does have a publicist pumping out press releases. Which a lot of people in the public eye have. Just not when they're pretending not to be able to afford butter.

I’m glad we got to the bottom of this. I thought they were lower case ‘L’s, which gave SOLTLS. Now, I’m Welsh (🔺) so a lack of what would be considered a suitable level of vowels is not normally an issue but I was struggling there. 🤣

I think some people believe the easiest version of the “truth “. Look at Trump, he’s bleating on about the election being “stolen” from him because his ego cannot cope with losing the election. His attitude and ego resulted in his inflammatory speech, which goaded idiots into storming the government building and people dying.

Yes! That was exactly my problem! My maverick brain thought it was Soltls (SOLTLS) not So it is. Thanks to the NI frau/ninnies who cleared this up.

Someone upthread astutely points out that Jack tells lies like a child. Simply covers up one immediate problem by lying without thinking far ahead at all. She relies on a few things - people having bad memories as she deletes so much, calling people bullies and trolls if they bring up her discrepancies, and also she falls back on her various ailments to explain her bad behaviour (remember she blamed her Ivan Cameron comment on being an alcoholic).
Tattle really must irritate her to death as it holds her lies up to scrutiny - usually through her own words.

Houses in her road are worth up to £800k.
It is a very 'nice' area. Affluent and middle class commuter belt.
The 'crappy bungalow' is neither crappy nor a bungalow. It is a very nice 3 bedroom detached Victorian/Edwardian property with lots of original features like stained glass windows and fireplaces.
It is has two bathrooms and a huge garden.
This is apparently still all beneath her as it is 'only' rented at approx £1500-£2k a month.

erm, wasn't she going to send them books for their appeal? rather than people buying them?
 
Jack's airy dismissal of veganism in Metro as really only for the well and well off really is quite offensive on many levels. It also is dismissive of many cultures/religions and the millions of people who adhere to these principles.
All of which is her opinion so fair enough, but don't ever bleeping pretend to be a vegan for your own gains.
