The kitchenaid mixer was a gift, apparently. Wish my friends were so generous.

In amongst that load of tweets she says that if she had bought it herself, she would treat it like her second born. But as it was a gift she doesn't value it and runs it by plastering it with crappy pink glitter paint.

What a witch. If she treated an expensive gift I had given her with such disregard, she would no longer be a friend.
The one thing I've learned from Jack is that all my friends are tit and none of my puddles are deep enough.

BTW searching for the Nokia model led me to this great article. Here the Hopkins money paid for a couch and FOUR HOLIDAYS, plus she is an expert triangulator as always:

I had a wee look on the Currys website at stand food mixers. There's the cheapest Kitchen Aid at £269, 3.3 litres, 250w, three accessories - beater, whisk, dough hook. Then there's a Kenwood Chef also at £269, but 1000w, 4.6 litres, four accessories - beater, whisk, dough hook, blender.

Of course, the Chef doesn't come in snazzy bright colours or appear in the coolest kitchens on the telly, but I know which I'd prefer.

Yep - absolutely certain she does that. Most small businesses do. And they claim the vat back if they can. However i don’t think Jack is organised enough to do VAT returns. Her taxes will be quite complex and hard to do because she’s so disorganized, Patreon is taxable, bet she doesn’t know that.... Kickstarter probably is too, especially if people are paying for an eventual product. Soon as she puts a foot wrong, or HMRC get wind of her, she will be up to her ears in an investigation. Then of course she will go bankrupt to avoid paying. Amazed she hasn’t gone bankrupt already considering how bad her finances are, but then that’s probably something her inner Tory can’t abide, like taking benefits.

I just yes absolutely’d myself

It's such an odd way to look at things, I wouldn't do a home paint job on a KitchenAid, or any other expensive item for that matter. If I were to fancy a go at it though, I'd be far more likely to paint something I had bought for myself, so if I cocked it up I'd only be upsetting myself! You just wouldn't do that with a gift, especially such an expensive one too. 😕

I bet she bought it herself and tried to make it look like the most expensive model. Epic fail and couldn’t bring herself to admit that she’d forked out hundreds and wrecked it.

I have a kenwood chef, they're much more powerful than a kitchen aid and reliable (don't talk to me about the fancy kitchen aid food processor I bought that only works when it feels like it, the cheapy lidl stick blender and small processor but works better)

But..
But...
She hasn't had a holiday in seven years?!

Jack's KitchenAid being an inferior model with a bodged facetune paint job in an artificial attempt to make it look like Nigella's own KitchenAid when she could have had a perfectly good Kenwood for a fraction of the price...very meta

For a committed lesbian she certainly spends a lot of time bleeping about with knobs. The general state of her kitchen makes me feel ill but the mis-matched knobs are a particular low-light. I didn't have any smelling salts to overcome my fit of the vapours but fortunately I did have some dishwasher salt (for de-icing outside my front door, I don't have a dishwasher because I RENT).
