There are also people who scamper around Southend for chips when they’ve got the longest long covid ever, who potentially have now infected multiple other people who could require hospitalisation. All in an area of the country which is struggling already for bed capacity! But I won’t name names ...

Jack seriously needs to sit this one out. I hope someone replies with her dad’s limited company for properties tbh. I lived in a block with this cladding, post Grenfell, and the anxiety is unbearable. We were privileged in that we could just go and buy our house earlier than expected to get out, but in that period my anxiety was absolutely insane. I was on the top floor and the block was majorly overcrowded so I knew I’d die if there was a fire, I had no chance at getting out. It’s such a complex combination of many, many issues that she just cannot understand as she’s been renting huge houses in the country for her whole life? duck off she’s such an insufferable bleep, she’s clearly been on Reddit where the bail out funds are being discussed still.

I am so sorry you were in this situation. Seeing her tweet about this last night made me rage to another level.

She has no idea about the nightmare people like you were and are living with.

Having to pay for a mortgage or rent, 24 hour fire security and scaffolding on a property worth nothing that you cannot move out of.

And she tweets that she is the one to shout about it.

From her house filled with tit by the sea.

Bit of blusher around the jawline would make it more authentic, along with clenching the jaw on that side, together with some contouring on the other to make that recede slightly...

Anyhow, got work to do - largely dealing with the MH fallout of bleeping Social Media on kids. The amount of rumours and literally fake news circulating including rumours of suicides that is tipping some of them over the edge is beyond belief. If we can get them through this, none of them will ever believe anything they read online ever again, as there will be a massive amount of effort hurled at showing them what people have to gain from lying, whether it's money for sideboards and forever homes, sponsorships, attention, sympathy, clickthroughs or just the warm feeling of having the power to upset others and send out streams of flying monkeys.

I just caught up and read about your parents, I’m sorry for their situation it must be really stress inducing tbh. Our block was one of those cheaply put up for foreign investment made of paper blocks ~for professionals~ situated close to CW and LC airport, so of course 95% of it was owned by BTL landlords & the other 5% owner occupiers. The problem is that the cost of remedial works is about 20,25% of the property’s value (before like your parents are experiencing, they became completely worthless and unmortgageable) so a lot of people cannot afford that work where they’re a normal OO or a hobbyist LL. And as you’ve said the block management fees then go up for night watches & consulting solicitors & everything, it’s taken 3 years just to assign a cost to someone in my old block. I FORENSICALLY read the updates as I’m on the mailing list & they’ve not even started remedial works because of this. Even getting every lease holder to return a signed agreement takes months because there are so many of them, many abroad who clearly don’t even read the mails. There’s really active communities on Twitter and there has been for years, obvs Jackie darent engage anyone actually doing work / with an understanding of this.

Thankfully I don’t have any skin in the game anymore so can’t comment on how horrific the paperwork hell must be & potentially having to take on a £60k loan or being in massive negative equity on your mortgage must feel. Although morbidly this is why we ended up moving into a dead persons house as we didn’t have time for chains so only went for probate properties lol. I genuinely think I had some form of additional bolt on PTSD from my standard caused by the few months of anxiety of burning to death and the stairwells not being adequate for the actual headcount in that building (1/2 bed flats with families with 3,4 kids or multiple generations in). I’m so sorry for your parents and anyone else going through this as it’s horrific, and again bastard landlords distort the solution as no one wants to bail out ppl with 5+ properties w taxpayer money, but then OOs suffer. But I can say how it felt for those few months before we moved out & it was terrifying. I don’t see how panicking renters with absolutely no power in this situation can help anyone other than Jack getting a few more Patreon subscribers from Margaret who’s so glad she’s doing SO MUCH work for the poors 🥰

Also Louisa literally had a feature on this on ch4 news weeks ago, with a junior doctor? Cladded flats aren’t all in impoverished areas, it’s cheap tit new build dickheads who’ve done it. Sorry for the essays but god this girl is thick.

We are in I’m the sickest smol pixie ever phase aren’t we? I’ve got personal experience of one of those, and they’re throughly draining. No one else is ever allowed to be ill around them, whatever you’ve got, they’ve had worse, “crippling pain, completed it mate”. However when they’re ill if you dare to suggest that’s it’s not particularly serious and they don’t really need everyone at their (virtual) bedside mopping their brow and telling them how brave they’re being they’ll set the flying monkeys on you.

Yes, there is a thing called tea jam. Korean thing - it boils down (see what I did there?) to milk, sugar, Matcha/Earl Grey/fragrant tea simmered until it's tea flavoured condensed milk. Could probably add a few wizened Mandarin peels to it as well.

Wonder whether she's been watching more Korean aesthetic YouTubers recently? When it gets to the point of there being a set of Acacia utensils and a long handled teaspoon on show to go with the pink pans, we'll know for sure. It'll be Dalgona coffees and cloud pancakes next.
