What worries me is the length of time needed to do post production CGI. The magic is what's going to hold it up.

I've been watching 'House of the Dragon' which was a fantastic first series but we won't see the second series for 2 years due to all the special effects/CGI etc.

I hope you're right but I don't see how cast members can be stopped from spouting virtue signalling crap like "I don't support JKs views" etc. It would be better if they were told not to discuss JK and to keep their interviews to being about the show but I bet it won't happen.

I hope that they might use different casts as the kids age. Similar to House of the Dragon, but instead of using it to aging them up, use it to keep them young.

Would also give opportunities to more rising stars and hopefully won't create monsters like the old golden trio.
 
I've preordered my Running Grave to be delivered to my Kindle, but I haven't gotten any confirmation from Amazon, is that right? Will tehy only send the confirmation when the book actually goes on sale?

That's a possibility. I'm dreading that they might go full on 'inclusive' with the casting.
I'll eat my hat if Hermione isn't black or mixed race (but that's OK), however I will lose my tit if Snape is played by a transman and half the cast are trans or Nonbinary.

I reckon they are unlikely to touch the core characters but I can definitely see Seamus/Dean/Ernie Macmillian/Hannah Abbott I.e. bit part lesser characters being trans or NB.

I would be shocked if they don't make Hermione black or Asian after the cursed child casting.

I ordered a hard copy to come to my nearest locker, I only just got the despatch notification about an hour ago.

I'm not sure about kindle but perhaps they will send a notification soon. I haven't pre-ordered an e-book before but I imagine it might be midnight or early hours when you can download it 🤔
 
Ahhhhhhh! its midnight!! I'm off to audible to sink into hours and hours of strike and Robin bliss

EDIT audible release hasn't come out yet for me , anyone else??

I downloaded the book onto my kindle early this morning and have been avidly reading ever since. So far it's fantastic and might turn out to be my favourite in the series. I'm supposed to be working from home but I can't put it down so am doing very little work. I just felt irrationally annoyed when I had to take a phone call 😄
