For the spider averse, there is an arachnophobia mode in the game settings which will turn them into something less spidery :)
I had a look at that it just seems to remove their legs 😁
My daughter has manged to complete the game now but I think it's going to take me ages. I'm quite content looking around Hogwarts and going to Hogsmead, less enamoured with having to fight trolls 😃

Bahahaha, it’s just occurred to me I am actually surprised TRA’s haven’t tried cancelling Kings Cross, or getting them to apologise or remove reference to 3/4. I thought of it when reading the above about strikes and thinking “I wonder if rabid JKR haters would refuse to be diverted to that station and sulk, shivering, in an empty train station in the north
I saw pictures of the crowds at Kings Cross, awww ❤ Nice to see people are still enjoying the Harry Potter stuff despite the naysayers. I still see lots of people walking around unapologetically in the merch hoodies etc. I don’t think she’s as cancelled as the TRAs like to think she is. She’s still publishing her books, she’s still doing charity work, etc.

Do you have to use one of those controllers that you have to point at the TV to do spells with or just a normal hand held one?

I'm using the normal PlayStation device that looks like this

I've had some trouble getting used to it but am perservering 😄

You're never too old to learn 😄
I'm over 60 and pretty crap but I'm getting better.
It's definitely one of those things where practice makes perfect! I can't game at all but you get used to it pretty quickly.

I'm so excited for The Running Grave. I've been listening to the Strike and Ellacott Files Podcast and they posted their predictions episode a few days ago. I'm thanking my past self for pre-ordering it. 😂

I've been really enjoying it. They have a very casual but engaging kind of vibe and I like the way they structure the discussions. The ladies also pick up on a tonne of details I glossed over or missed completely. I can't wait to hear them complete all the other books.
I have just listened to the first one, I enjoyed it 😊

I listened to the first thirty minutes of the predictions for Running Grave so far and enjoyed it! It’s a very long episode at two hours but they were fun so far and I think I’ll listen a bit more later today.

Is anyone here into Fanfiction and could recommend one for Strike? I've never been able to read any fanfics that aren't for Harry Potter, but those I've been into for.... twenty years 😬 ? Sixteen days to go until Running Grave and I'm getting impatient...

In case anyone in the uk is interested the book is available on cd format on Amazon dot com at half the price of co dot uk and that is paying the duty etc so I order it lol.

Not necessarily for Strike, but archiveofourown.org has a really good tagging system so you can search quite specifically for particular fandoms and pairings. Might be worth a look if you have the time
