It’s all performative virtue signalling from people who are desperate for attention and praise on the internet.

The fact they won’t remove the entire exhibit is hilarious, the fact that even the people who say she’s evil are still HP fans, and try to justify that by buying second hand, streaming for free/pirating media and removing her name/pretending she didn’t really write the books is even more hilarious 😂 Imagine insisting someone is evil, but not having the the conviction to boycott that person yourself, and still having to use that persons work in order to earn a living yourself.

I'd like to know if these people own smart phones which strip the world of natural resources and are reportedly made using child Labour… I’d like to know if all of them boycott the new Charlie and the chocolate factory film because the creator was actually a racist… I’d like to know if they avoid all plastic, and if they source all of their clothing ethically to ensure that women aren’t being exploited in their making… or is JK Rowling a special case because she’s a woman who was known for being wholesome?

I don’t know where I fully stand on the debate tbh, but I do know that the actions of the trans rights activists definitely put me off learning more about their cause.

Women have been suppressed for years through our culture. The idea that a woman asks a question about her safety and then is shouted down and called a terf or transphobic is wild to me…
 
So many people forget that the HP books are first and foremost children's books and that they were written nearly 30 years ago!

If they were released now of course they would be more woke.

It's like the Roald Dahl books being rewritten for sensitivity and removing references to being fat, ugly etc. It was the way things were done and wouldn't be done now 🤷🏼‍♀️
 
I’d like to know if they also “boycott” Tom Clancy, Jeffrey Deaver, Stephen King and other huge-selling authors, due to a lack of trans characters in their books? (Disclaimer: I do not know if these authors have ever had a trans character in their books 😆)

But also - if we are not supposed to be able to tell the difference between trans people and non trans people - TWAW etc - then how would an author go about inserting a trans character into their books? Surely they’d just be a normal character? Unless there’s something obvious that sets trans people apart from others… hmm 🤔🤔🤔
 
Hmmmm, Amazon have cancelled my Strike pre-order due to lack of availability...

It's not out til late September so that seems odd 🤔

Has this happened to anyone else?

If I go back to the product on Amazon it lets me pre-order it still, however 🤷‍♀️

This is a good point: if trans people are indistinguishable from their identified sex, every book ever written could be populated entirely with trans characters and we’d never know! 🤷‍♀️

I just checked the German Amazon site and there it's available for preorder in all formats. Maybe it was a glitch on the GB site?

This looks to be everything I hoped it would be.
A sinister cult set up sounding a bit like 'Scientology' with friends in high places extracting money from their followers and using a few celebrities to promote it.
It also sounded a bit like the 'Children of God' cult with echos of children being abused. I can't wait to see what happens when Robin goes undercover. There's also several potential murders already outlined in the preview - the whistle-blower who escaped and was shot and possibly also the wife of the founder.
I really want to read it all now.
