It wouldn’t surprise me at all that he had those early “lean years” because of the attachment to her. Can you imagine if she was going along to auditions with him, constantly on with the agent, basically making an irritation of herself all over LA….

I don't think you quite understand how rich, 'in' and golden-ticketish Olivier Picasso was.

ETA: She loved Ioan. All encompassing. If you've never felt that, perhaps that's why she has to be a Narc 101 in your mind for her reaction to be so over the top and visceral.

I see what you're trying to say but if that were the case she would not have stayed at home looking after the children whilst he went out working, surely?

IG at the time was saying he was going to aim for $20 million a movie and be the next James Bond. She probably believed this then too but of course it didn't work out. So they both seemed golden tickets but IG was cuter. And not gay :ROFLMAO:

AE: I myself thought I was mad at times! I've seen so many specialists asking "What's wrong with me?" I've harangued my friends for over a year. Then it tuns out he's angry because he's fallen in love and wants out of his family. All those months of torture..

How convenient Alice. It's ALL his fault of course!
 
The thing is, we all get bored. Even if she has right on her side, the fact she has just gone on about it relentlessly, everybody will eventually not even react to her tweets out of boredom. She has just made herself look crazy. And unemployable. And undateable. This means so much to her, and why wouldn’t it, but to us it is just entertaining. And then it won’t be, it will just be AE droning on again. I think he met BW prior to them splitting up. Spending a lot of time away from AE and her controlling ways plus meeting BW has concentrated his mind on what he doesn’t want. And that is AE. She will still be spewing these tweets out in 2 years time. By that stage IG will have got remarried and had another child. She is going to waste the next few years of her life.

I think she wanted to be a great actress or at least an employable one. Her career has never really taken off as she thought it would, and I wonder if that is part of the resentment against IG now. In her mind she has stayed at home when she could have been a Liz Taylor to his Burton (they do have a nanny after all), when we know that unfair as it is, most actresses in LA have a very short shelf life....

Her father (according to her) cut the kids off, Ioan hasnt done that. And if she defines this as such then she probably exagerates what her father did too (as suspected all along, she slipped up last year that the younger brother has contact to him)

Rich of her to say he isn’t a responsible adult or nurturing parent - she’s getting hammered and spewing over SM at all hours of the day… I can’t see her being a very good parent through these periods. Plus the things she has told and shown those girls in the form of parental alienation ain’t too nurturing either. He also didn’t fail at being a loving husband just because he doesn’t love her anymore, the woman is crackers.

Do her kids deserve no privacy, even down to the detail of how many phone calls? Alice, just shut the duck up.
 
If that is true though (as in, that he said it) he is terrible though. Regardless if he continues to date her or not at some point he will date someone, and his kid will have to deal with it, even if it hurts now (I'm sure his intention is not to hurt his kid, but in the long run this will make it worse). Did he really not expect this reaction?

i don’t think you understand that outside of France (maybe Europe at a push) Olivier Picasso ain’t all that. I’m nearly 40 and have never heard of the guy prior to all this kicking off. He sounds like the equivalent to those Made In Chelsea lot - rich with famous families but who the AF are they really?

And she doesn’t love him all encompassing- she loved having control over him, and she loves the attention being with him brings. That’s not true love. That’s an addiction to control and attention.

He changed his name to Picasso. His name when he was born was Widmaier. He added the Picasso when was 25, and never met his famous grandfather.
