She hasn’t even watched the video that had the whole world in uproar??? What a privileged, fragile and stupid thing to say. 😡🙈

Also, I asked all the black women in my life what they thought about sharing black accounts right now and they all felt is was incredibly condescending and not a useful thing to do. Like saying “oh hey, I see you’re black so I’m going to share you now to seem as though I actually care about racial issues. I’m totally not racist. See!!”

Vic, stop trying to act woke while simultaneously encapsulating yourself in a bubble. Please take this time to think LONG and HARD about the way you live your life and for ONCE take some accountability!!

I'm not going to lie, I haven't watched the video either. I understand the content, which doesn't seem to be open to interpretation, so I don't feel the need to watch it to make a judgement on what happened and why it's so important. I once watched a video of something ISIS did and I wish I hadn't. I didn't need it to understand the horror and suffering inflicted. So I can't criticise her for that but I can see the other side of it too.

I’m sorry but I can’t believe she hasn’t watched the news! I’m not saying one has to have watched the video to have an opinion about the murder of George Floyd but to make it all about her feelings, how she felt, how upsetting it would be to watch it is simply selfish. I just don’t have any words. All the black Instagrammers, you tubers being promoted today will be forgotten by tomorrow ... the transgender model in the L’Oréal campaign i forgot to mention when I posted about amena khan ...also not one of them batted an eyelid when she was fired by L’Oréal. I think many are waking up to these “girl bosses” who support no one but themselves.

Exactly! Oh what a privilege to be able to protect your feelings. Heaven forbid an innocent man losing his life in a horrific way make miss thang feel uncomfortable. Imagine how uncomfortable it is for him - his family - his community!!

ALL OF THIS SHOULD BE UNCOMFORTABLE!! It’s the comfort of protecting your feelings, turning away from violent racism and avoiding difficult conversations around it that define what being COMPLICIT it all about. And THAT is why this all has continued for as long as it has and likely will continue because precious white people like Victoria are just too uncomfortable so they back away before real change can be made.

“Sorry babes...it’s just tooo harddddd for me. Too hard. But please show some love on my adsss!!” 🙈

Excuse the rant. I just can’t believe this self-absorbed princess cannot be bothered to step outside of her privilege for once in her life.

No black square on her Instagram page (yet). It doesn’t fit with her pink aesthetic so she’s put something on stories instead. I find this very distasteful.

I absolutely agree, this is beyond distasteful! Long time lurker but I had to come on tattle and post today after seeing her insta page. The fact that she chose to post her #blackouttuesday on her stories rather than her main insta page just confirms everything I’ve felt about her over the last year. I don’t like to judge but this just screams out to me that she is clearly more concerned about the aesthetics of her page than the important message the # is trying to promote.

She is stupid. The point of this action was to create an all black “silence” hashtag page, which represents the voices of social media community. It is like that earth hour when we switch off the lights all together at the same time, the entire planet.
This black hashtag page means “we black out the injustice, racism and inequality”. That is the message. So, when you click on a hashtag you get to a full black screen that made of thousands voices from around the globe. Her story does not contribute to this page. Because she does not contribute to this protest.

I said it before and completely agree and I’ve had to unfollower because it’s just a level of distaste I don’t want to be complicit in by viewing her stories.
She never shared black influencers before so why now? And will she continue later or go back to her bubble. I believe people’s opinions can change, but this is clearly just performatife, she would get ripped for releasing whatever “project” she had to postpone as a result of this. She’s pandering to her audience as it’s the marketable thing to do. They speak on sustainability often because their consumerism puts the under the firing line so often. But look at who she mixes with, talks about, features normally. If her audience can’t see through this facade it’s actually very sad. I’ve been around people like her, my husband is white and I’m dark skin (of mauritian and French descent we don’t call that black in Australia), but one side of his family only have white friendships and even their friends at work are only white (despite it being multicultered) never complained once about his girlfriends, but when I came into the picture, I was after his “money” (I’m an analyst and had a job he didn’t have at the time and my parents are well off the table could have been turned on him yet my family never did) and children (neither of us want children). They didn’t realise, just like Victoria doesn’t realise, but it’s subtle racism in itself. Whilst she may not realise it, not having any other ethnic friends (as far as I can tell) is a bit off. We live in countries built of off immigrants yet she hasn’t got non white friends? And previously has inadvertently only praised white influencers or shared their instagrams.
I may be wrong as I don’t follow her closely enough. But from the outset that’s what I see. I’m not someone who gets angry about what they do, but this for me is too far on her behalf. No genuine concern. Just complying with what her audience wants from her. It’s a marketing tactic at this point.

I'm curious to know what she's been working on that she thinks will add to the conversation in the way she can. It was only yesterday she was educating herself. Pleased to know she's now educated and able to add to the conversation. What do you reckon it is? One of those instagram story frames with her handle on? Blog post to pay lip service but also capitalise upon potential traffic to shill affiliate links?

Uh oh. Do we have a “how to solve racism in 10” video coming? 😂😂😂

Please.

I think one of the worst things about Victoria is her constant need to always feel like she’s a leader on subject matter she knows nothing about. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking this time to sit back and listen. Anything she adds now will clutter the feeds and run the risk of real important voices being unheard.

Victoria: THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU. We know you’re a narcissist but please. For once. Be silent! You couldn’t even go all of Blackout Tuesday being silent and not seeking attention.🙈🙈

PMS-ing so I have to vent. She annoys the crap out of me, but I'm still subscribed. It's a masochistic thing, I love to hate-watch.. Or used to love hate-watching, 'cause now I mostly skip through her boring ass videos.

The reasons I dislike her:
- you CAN'T be all "hiii, lovely" with everybody. That screams fake to me. I'd have waaay more respect for her if she would just ONCE reply to a negative comment in an honest, "if you don't like it, duck off" kind of way. Instead she's all passive-aggressive in the YT comment section and then she does an IG rant to release the built up frustration. So passive-aggressive. That's so not "boss girl", hun.. That's "cowardly spiteful brat".
-she's selfish (never gives anything back to her viewers besides her "elevated", narcissistic content that is actually so unrelatable to most of her subs), greedy and envious of other people's success
-she's not transparent with her sponsorships (similar to the first point - just dishonest and shady) and she has double standards (the often discussed "sustainability", among many things).
-she would put dog tit on her head if it had a Dior label. I've seen this woman raving about some fugly sh*t because she got paid for it
-I think she is actually quite toxic IRL, just hides it with her "bubbly" facade. I also think her relationship is a mess.
-her TikTok is an abortion. No rhythm or sense of humor whatsoever. It's not even in the "so bad it's good" category. It's beyond any kind of bad.
-she sometimes talks while chewing in her videos and it absolutely enrages me. That paired with her lisp and that crooked duck-mouth of hers is just.. NOT LUXE, BABE!
-Alex. That snobbish, annoying, gloomy man-boy, the sulky snot with his ginger hair plugs that SHE'd lied about for months! "Oh nooo lovely, he's just decided to grow it out xxx". Grow what out? The dead skin cells on his Moon head? Just shut that crooked overdrawn mug of yours already.

A bit of a nitpicky reason: I absolutely detest the way she pronounces: "grungy", "done", "looove" and some words that sound-wise end in a T (e.g. cute) - she bleeping spits out that "T", something dies in me every time I hear. That. T.

Rant over. I feel empty. I shall eat now. :cautious:
Soooooo totally agree

Nice ad affiliate link to that Gucci underwear set! Now we know whose really funding the 5k donation to the Red Cross. Can’t imagine anything more ridiculous that promoting design luxury undies at a time where people are bleeping furloughed from work and there’s a major global recession on the horizon. And the brass neck to cream off the sales through an aff link. She’s disgusting.
She’s vile

Let’s see, some of the brands being called out for the virtue signaling and others that are problematic, Vic’s worked with:

1. LOreal (firing a black trans model for no reason, well documented history of disxrkmination
2. Charlotte Tilbury (treats her staff like tit, verbally abusive to staff)
3. Louis Vuitton (horrible timing sending out free handbags, Virgil Abloh’s $50 donation when an Off__White belt retails for $450)
4. Dior (creating their own hashtag to show “solidarity” for profit, no commitments to donations or resources)
5. H&M (too many to list)
6. Lumene (silence, no diversity)
7. Dyson (silence)
8. Armani Beauty (just posted a black photo, no resources or commitments to do better)
9. Laura Mercier (mentions doing better but no specific actions given)
10. Net a Porter (documented discrimination against black people when hiring and firing)
11. Bodyism (their feed is 100% white)
12. Phillipa Lepley (random story of a picture of George Floyd drawn by her daughter, no resources or commitments)
13. Luisaviaroma (oh man...silence, but did post their children’s ad campaign with all white models)

etc etc etc.

The ball’s in your court, Vic.

great post. If continues to work with these brands without any change we know where her morals stand.
Inthefrow #5 how to kill your career in 10

Inthefrow #5 Lisp uncontainable, did you hear she's sustainable?

Inthefrow #5 yet another integrated paid for advertorial, can't be arsed to make a proper tutorial

I vote for number two!

You need to put this on Lydiots thread too 👍

The problem is and its not just Victoria, posting about black influencers now shows how she didn't give a damn about them before all this happened. All these influencers don't care about other influencers or who their audience is they just care about the next brand deal and all the £. Its not just them though like people have mentioned its Brands aswell they hardly cater for WOC the shades ranges are frankly poor. Why do they think Rihanna's makeup brand did so well because she catered for EVERYONE. It was only after her makeup line took off other brands started introducing more shades.
