While I don't necessarily think this decision is race based (Charlene's certainly wasnt) it is quite a stat that in 20 years not one person of another race has won I'm a celebrity. Its kind of funny considering how inclusive ITV likes to call itself, yet its flagship shows (think love Island too) don't reflect that.

I'll be surprised If Charlene doesn't bring it up at somepoint

Charlene brings up race at EVERY opportunity on LW so it’s a safe bet that she will say that’s why she was first to leave! 🙄

I really liked Scarlette, thought she bought a lot to the camp and I’d have rather have seen Chris or sue out before her. However she isn’t as well known as others so can’t see her pulling in the votes in the same way! I honestly at times forget Chris is even there so when people mention Chris on this thread at first I’m like…’who?!’

I wonder how different the results would be if you had to vote for someone to leave. I haven’t voted for any of them to stay because genuinely not one stands out to me, I didn’t mind Scarlett and I don’t mind Mike and Jill, Baba and Sue are ok (don’t get the Sue hate really but I think she’s been pretty so so) . However, if I had to vote for someone to leave Boy George would be first on my list.

But then you could also say their biggest reality show ever, X factor, in 14 years had 3 solo winners that were POC. Plus two groups that won that included poc 🤷🏽‍♀️

They were voted out because they were moaning buggers
Charlene thinking she’s Andrew Marr crossed with Gordon Ramsey and Scarlet and her hissy fit last night at Matt thinking he was throwing something edible away
🤷‍♀️ simple really
What I like is the confusion it will cause in camp with them wondering why Britain’s number one villainous MP hasnt been booted out

Sue will have corrie fans voting for her
Chris will have his radio fans
Mike will have royal fans
Bg will have his musical fans
Jill will have football fans
Owen will have hollyhoaks fans
Matt becoming popular
Baba Sean and scarlette not so mainstream so might not have the fanbase voting to keep them in.
It's not a race issue

There's never been a black winner either, in fact every winner has been white
What ethnic minority contestant over the years came closest?

I don't think it's race - there have been black winners of X Factor and Big Brother - what's different about IAC? Baba is boring, and Scarlette while pleasant didn't get a lot of screen time and doesn't have an obvious fanbase from before IAC.
