An 18 year old is an adult. That's not illegal. Plenty of people the world over do that day in day out.are you saying that HE paying for sex pics from an 18 year old kid isnt a news story?

The guy may have been 17 (now 20) but did Huw know of his drug addictions? £35K is so much money over 3 years! Almost a grand a month for sexual content.
If he did know of the guy’s drug problem that’s very low. Enabling this guy whilst having his pleasure with the sexual content he bought.
The MH card with a message delivered by the loyal wife is low too. Did she know about his gay / bi side and tolerate it like PS’s Missus probably did?
I pity the parents of this guy and commend them. I hope their son can recover from this ordeal and get on a healthier life path.
Huw will rear his head at some point bht his career is fortunately over. What about his marriage? His wife would be a fool to stand by him long term.
I’m not a fan of Katie Hopkins but on this I agree with her wholeheartedly.
This should have been an internal disciplinary issue between HE and his employer. There's no need for this to be in the public arena and The Sun should be dragged over the coals for this.
With this talk of 'hiding that he is gay' - we don't know that he is actually gay... remember bisexuality and pansexuality exist. There is nothing to suggest he doesn't still love and find his wife attractive until he says as such.
I feel heartily sorry for his family - they are the ones facing the shame and humiliation of his actions. Whether what he did was illegal or not, it was certainly very unsavoury and sleazy.Never thought I would say this but Go Katie
When I was reading about HE my thoughts were it should be his wife who's having a breakdown after finding out that her near pension age husband has been contacting people younger than their kids for dirty pictures.
And all whilst pretending to be Mr Perfect and upstanding member of the community.
yes its all been very tactical - first the expensive Lawyer to speak for the boy
then hiding in hospital behind the mental health act - so police and media cant touch him .
No criminality found with Schofe though either...
What do you mean 'taken over', 'taken over' what exactly? Is this the same 40-a-day smoker Victoria who ran off with her colleagues husband? (obviously, it takes two to tango, but quite an unpleasant thing to do).

Tbf, I genuinely do think there is something wrong with him mentally. Oppositional defiance disorder, cluster-B, something like that. I heard a psychiatrist recently suggest that about 80 percent of people you regularly see on TV have a narcissistic personality disorder. Granted this was in the USA, but it kinda rings true and is quite disturbing given that they have a platform and can potentially influence viewers who don't know any better.
So on that note, I guess we’ll be seeing Huw Edwards on ‘Im a celeb’ sometime soon
At least the BBC actually had the balls to address it head on, unlike ITVs pathetic excuse. That’s it isn’t it, people were watching the news waiting to see what they said about it, if anything at all!
They wouldn’t win either way - they’re being criticised for it being their main story but they would have 100% been accused of playing it down if they’d only mentioned it later on in the bulletin.
You know what you’ve got to do if you need that new pair of shoes Barbara…the police 'investigation' seems a bit of a farce , i mean How can they find the illegal images - if they didnt even search his home ?.
im quite pissed off to be honest - i might buy myself a new pair of shoes .
mental health in the NHS is critically UNDERfunded , many wards are actually closed because of it - doctors struggle to find beds .I can almost guarantee he's not in a NHS acute unit, there's no beds and it's really hard to get admitted he wouldnt want to lower himself to spend time with the plebs. He will be in a private unit , paid up and discreet.
Some top criminal lawyer has just been on a news channel saying the police wouldn't have spoken to Huw in the mental state that he is in and have halted the investigation and stated so far no wrong doing has been found, he also said they will once Huw is well enough speak to him and then they may well re investigate the claims.i dont have faith in police , they didnt investigate at all .
"SAS: Huw Dares Wins" surely?
Bad example, since Sutcliffe faked schizophrenia to get Broadmoor rather than a full trial and prison. You need to read Wicked Beyond Belief, about his rape and masturbation kits, evidence which W Yorks police conveniently lost (even though its documented and in public domain).
west Yorks police were perfectly happy to go along with Sutcliffe's pretence of mental illness because they didn't want a full trial, which would have revealed in court that their institution racism (see: Marcella Claxton's evidence, discounted because she is Black), misogyny ('prostitutes', 'risky lifestyles', 'not innocent women') and general idiocy (the Geordie Tapes) meant that they missed seven chances to catch him (he was interviewed at home seven times but they kept losing the paperwork).
Sonia Szurma Sutcliffe had schizophrenia which is how Sutcliffe knew to imitate the symptoms.
Pick a better “classic” example!
Obviously not everyone views it like that (I still think he's an odious liar, at best), but among the wider public I think he's succeeded.
