Why is Ava a grown up, lol was she not about 9?! And she seems a brat.

Dean and Ziggy had a baby, daughter called Isabella I think. Unplanned, but all ok. Just moved away to Queensland as Amber and Jai were relocating.

Felicity still annoying, actuing like a spoilt 14 yr old even though she’s probably supposed to be about 30. Just married Tane, 2nd attempt. First time she and Eden were in a car crash on there way there. Rose and Xander slightly less annoying, but still odd how they’re so invested is each other’s relationship.

Ava has aged about 8 years in 6 months, don’t know why they do that. She was a super fan obsessed with Leah’s nephew Theo in the band. Stalker behaviour online, they’ve all just realised it was her. Been a load of her taking off and not doing as she’s told.

The band Lyrik turned up- Eden, Kirby, Remi and Bob (left) and appeared to know Felicity. Renting a house in John Palmers street. Theo has joined and Justin is their manager. They’re supposed to play in Salt weekly, but there always seems a drama preventing them. 🙄

Bree is replacement Tori, doctor. Abusive husband, she killed him in self defence and is now seeing Remi.

Mali has took over the board shop and was apparently building the boards for the shop off screen. Likely to bring family in, has hinted at a large family often.

Marilyn had a daughter turn up, nutcase, whole other story, but it’s all wrapped up and she’s in prison (hospital). Nothing going on with her right now.
Leah/Irene/Roo- not much going on.
Mack- just had an ex boyfriend turn up, got back together, he found out he has cancer again and has took off so as not to be a burden on Mack.

John was in a mood Dean had left without saying a proper goodbye and therefore vowed not to make friends with Mali. Mali bought John a pizza and now they’re ok 🙄

Bella turned back up for a visit and Nikau has gone back with her to NY.

You’ll totally catch up in a few episodes, even the Marilyn-daughter storyline, which was a big deal at the time, pretty much hasn’t been referenced since, you wouldn’t know it happened.
 
Ava was too much like Ari's stepdaughter for my liking - same attitude, same sort of look ... pretty girls but they're not great actresses.

And why is Kirby the only one seen working - at the Diner - to pay the rent? Meanwhile, Eden and Remi sit around on their bums all day and Theo is meant to be working at the garage but it's never mentioned.
 
The actress who plays Kirby is very attractive and has lovely energy about her, but they dress her in the most unflattering outfits.

Dr Bree is so drippy ... she'd be more believable as a hippy who sells crystals and other curios than she is as a doctor. I used to really like her but she has the same expression no matter what the scene is and the same robotic voice.

I agree with others about Flick ... I wouldn't mind if she and Tane left the Bay.

I'm watching an Australian drama at the moment called 'Black Snow' which has the actress who played Ava in H&A most recently, as well as Maggie (Ziggy's mum). Both actresses are incredible in this - the one who played "Ava" pretty much acts and has the same expressions as she did in H&A but it's more believable and less bratty; the one who played "Maggie" couldn't be more different (she plays a rough barmaid) ... actually, I remember the one who played "Maggie" was also in Wolf Creek (very frightening movie), and was great in that too - she's a fantastic actress with great range.

Far out, Felicity is annoying. Everything is drama central with her. I just could not be her friend. Besides, all her friendships seem very one-sided anyway. She's a selfish one.
