Honestly don’t understand whats going on in this storyline. If what is in your spoiler was a standalone storyline,
it’s been done before, hard hitting and understandable
but I have never got the link between Charlie smoking weed, Charlie having anxiety and Charlie losing control, causing rampages and destruction, when in reality a regularly spliffed out Charlie, especially given his age and generation, would be hidden away in his room if he was smoking that much, maybe still feeling anxiety, and glued to his phone.

I remember when Felix started his (now known) illegal fighting storyline and some scenes were filmed weird like Charlie’s were and I genuinely thought Hollyoaks were going down a route if they’d been both been smoking weed that had been laced with a seriously hard drug and making them both act crazy.
That would be way more entertaining

This is my post from the time

I just thought the two were acting so erratic it was going to turn out they were both being (unknowingly) harder drugged via hard drugs than just the weed they thought they were smoking and it would turn into a storyline!

(maybe I should be a Hollyoaks writer, lol) 😂

I don't get what is happening with hald the storylines now, why would he pretend he was the phone thief?!

I agree, I was so confused. I blamed it to me half-watching and half on my phone, but from my understanding he (can’t remember his name, the Asian guy) took the blame after issuing Lucas with an ultimatum the previous episode, and then Lucas got mad, smashed the place up, and said how dare he throw him under the bus even though he just saw him take the blame for what he did? Is that how it took place or did l miss something crucial?

Exactly, I'm rewatching now on channel 4 (cannot remember most of the names either) none of this makes any sense

I’m really bewildered, this is my first viewing of the C4 episode as that’s the pace I watch. I thought the girl in the wheelchair was trying to seduce Hunter in order to get back at the McQueen family as revenge for JP making her disabled? Why was Rayne recording it? Why is Lucas angry that his friend took the blame for him!? WHY HASN’T STE MET HIS NEW SON YET!?

😱 that ending!

I’m calling it now! Dylan (formerly ‘the Asian guy’) secretly fancies Lucas and sleeps/fools around with both brother and sister

Agreed. What on earth is going on. How long do we think until this will be until its cancelled?

Dont quote me on this as I could be completely wrong but I’m sure I read once there is some sort of Ofcom law that says the commercial channels have to have a soap on them for X amount of hours per week. It’s possible they could scrap it and replace it, this was Brookside’s replacement after all, but I think that would be a bad decision from them unless they went in a completely different direction. Tbh I would LOVE a Twin Peaks/Sunset Beach style soap set in an unidentified remote place in the UK and batshit events happened all the time (tbf, that does sound a bit lot like Hollyoaks already lol)

Why is this - about soaps? Does anyone know?
