Oh no, Freda is bored! Mea culpa :D

I admit to the pedantry. What pisses me off is the comparison between thicko Harry and clever William when they’re probably much of a muchness academically. What William does have is lots more commonsense.
Bib, always good to admit fault;).

There is no comparison academically whatsoever. If you think there is then I have a fabulous bridge I could sell you.
One is thick as pig tit and had to repeat a year at prep school as well as having his art work juiced up by his art teacher in order to pass an A level, and the other toddled through his education with no repeat years or blatant cheating needed and even went to university before managing to do rather well in the military prior to retiring to focus on learning the family business.:)

I am very worried that the pair are quiet ATM....It feels like when your kids are in the next room and it goes silent....
I have an ominous feeling that something ominous is going to ominously occur...🙈🙊😲
FWIW...I don't give a 💩how many languages they can fluently speak.. that's the kind of day I'm having so there🤪
Someone kick them and tell them to get back to being nasty and manipulating,or I may have to comment on the PS thread...now there's another grooming young men nearly underage cul de sac 🙊🙊😎hate him nearly as much as pinkyATB...I digress...going to fix the satnav❤😘🤗

I nearly forgot ....you will never guess what I am eating.........
Only sugared almonds🤣🤣🤣🤣
I suspect something is being planned by the Beverly Hillbillies. They might be focused on the book stuff, probably busy booking interviews via zoom or whatever so they can drum up interest in the fairy story.
I wish they'd get a wriggle on and put their feet in their mouths again, we need tea !

She was so rude to that reporter.
”where did you go to high school”
” I’m from here”

isit really a big deal to be from LA?
who gives a monkey’s

No wonder she had such a massive tax bill.
And now wonder as part of the Sussex royal proposal she only wanted high profile gigs. She would have raked in millions from product placement.
disgusting, grubby fame bleep.

William does speak 5 languages

William definitely speaks French. ill try to find a link
Here. (Accent is not great!)

and for good measure; here he is speaking Welsh.

Trust me, it is NOT a big deal to be from "Los Angeles" or to have attended ANY High School there. by ANY means!!! She's just a skanky snobby (for zero reason) ignorant twatwaddle

or perhaps Celt news was right and he's had a mental health episode.

What was the latest 'a friend of Meghans' story that has come out? That may give us some insight of what they are up to.
The skin care woman was the last acolyte to speak up in praise of smeggy I think.
I wonder how her "5 friends" are coping knowing they might soon be required to give evidence in court. Maybe that's why she's so quiet, trying to herd her multiple personalities into a manageable group must be exhausting, poor lamb.

Actually, how come we never get "Haribo is amazing/wonderful/kind/generous " interviews ? It's always idiots praising the wonder of smeggy. It's like he's invisible.

Good point, well made.

Anyone can read a speech in a foreign language. I don’t know a word of Spanish, but I could fake it if someone kindly wrote it all out for me.

If you call asking every person the same question over and over (sut mae, pronounce shmai meaning how are you) then yes William is fluent in

All he’s saying in Welsh is ‘sut mae‘ pronounced shmi, which means how are you. He says it over and over, but can’t engage any further because er, he can’t speak Welsh.

I speak Welsh so it kind of irks me that he gets the credit for it. To be fair, it is a really bloody hard language to learn.

Reading out a speech in French which no doubt someone else has translated for him isn’t speaking French.

My pedantic ass is going to explode in a minute :D
You still have to have some knowledge of the language to be able to read the whole speech and pronounce the words so people will actually understand you (unless someone wrote it phonetically for you, which is how actors would say their lines in a lingo they don't know - they still sound awful most of the time, with a few exceptions). I speak/read/write fluently in 3 languages (English is not my first), plus know quite a few words/expressions in 3 other, love learning languages, but you could easily kill me with French...no way I can read much of it, despite finding Spanish and Italian easy, all from the same language family, plus I did Latin for 2 years at Uni...
BTW I love the sound of Welsh, it fascinates me, but I know about 5 words so far 🤣

Another polyglot here and I agree, you have to understand what you’re reading in order to get the correct emphasis and intonation so that it makes sense to the listener.

I don't have Twitter, but so appreciative of the links to the public posts 😂😂😂

Just to add, I hope affinity to learn languages doesn’t indicate intelligence because I like to think of myself as smart, but all my efforts to learn other languages fail. My brain isn’t wired that way. I took several years of a foreign language at my school and was never able to do much more than memorize vocabulary. Actual construction of sentences is tricky. I can read French, German, Italian fairly well, but I couldn’t string a single sentence together. So I think saying that William isn’t too bright because he can’t speak French is a bit unfair. I understand the points being made, however.

“Her snigger incredulous then his face, like thunder- how very dare a leader of a country, you know a person with a real bleeping job and a country dependent on their leadership and good judgment, keep a useless playboy prince and his tit show gal waiting all of 2 minutes whilst guest of their country???!!!”

“Useless playboy prince and his tit show gal”

Great thread title @WallacesDog

Nope, you're right, some people find it easier than others, and not much to do with intelligence. Also, some find it easy to read and understand, but can't really use it in a social setting. I know a couple of people working as translators (English into their native language), they've been doing it succesfully for years, a lot of it quite technical and specialised - but somehow they struggle to have a longer conversation in English. Both very smart I hasten to add.
