Off subject, but I LOVE that song. Some of the lyrics are VERY pertinent with Meghan's underbite that comes out when she's angry.

I agree with the sentiment when it comes to black people who ascribe to the whole woke thing. Of course it’s not all black people.
Take a look at munroe bergdorf, the black trans model. Professional victim is an understatement. She said that ‘all whites are violently racist and we live in an irredeemably racist society’. While being a cover model for L’Oréal, an influencer, and appearing regularly to debate her viewpoint on TV.

There are claims that the RF could sue MM for defamation, but the duo have tried to state through OW that it was not The Queen or Philip. Harry is keen to try and give the impression that they support him, but the word on the street is that a certain reporter close to the duo has been telling everyone who that person is. Apparently they are between 50- 100 (just)!

That was so patronising, who does he think he is! But of course, he was NEVER happy until Meghan came along.

My personal thought with the skin colour comment was that it wasn't said in much seriousness, like everyone has said on this thread it's not an uncommon discussion among parents to be, but it was only when he went home and repeated it to Meghan that she enlightened him just how very racist it was. Maybe it had been said early on to him in the relationship but he only remembered and mentioned it when she was actually pregnant. Harry never knows what he feels until Meghan tells him.

Totally agree, by far the best/most nuanced conversations I've had on this issue have been with black women fed up of being told what they should think about racism!

Oh yeh there’s absolutely professional victims - Stormzy is 72 years old is one, as is Anthony Joshua. Both claim the UK are racist but are both hugely famous and rich due to popularity (brand deals from the latter) amongst Brits.
 
I simply do not believe for one minute the racism allegation was said using those words. Someone may have said I wonder who the baby will look like, you or M but theyve taken it completely the wrong way to suit their narrative.

They knew exactly the huge impact that allegation would cause with the way the world is at the moment

not just vitriol but repeated over and over again vitriol and LIES. he made ONE mistake3 years ago and she is STILL going on about it on international TV. Maybe Farchie will give her a taste of her own medicine

Meghan definitely does have some genuine grievances. But the Oprah thing didn't really address them and so many things that she said don't stand up to scrutiny.

She must have been fully aware what becoming a royal would mean long before the wedding day. I really don't think she ever intended to be a part of the royal family (not that I blame her I wouldn't either). But it could have been handled far better and not upset so many - unless the aim was to create as much publicity as possible.

I think this is a disgusting story & I thought that at the time. It implies that Doria is a lowlife criminal & that Harry with his English tea is too superior a being to visit such a hellhole. It‘s classist, snobby and dehumanising.

But, sorry, I don’t think it’s racist. Crenshaw is a high crime area that happens to be largely populated by African Americans who, obviously, are largely responsible for most of the crime there.

But I know perfectly well that had Doria been a white woman living in a rundown suburb of majority-white Louisville with an equally high crime rate they’d have run the identical story, and it would have been just as nasty and spiteful - but clearly not racist.

It’s the “rags to riches” narrative that they are forever going with...the juxtaposition of KP splendour and more humble origins. They tried it with Carole the coal miners daughter born in a council house, and it’s the same thing here.

There was a story (probably in the Mail, naturally) feigning mock horror of “dreadlocks on the balcony with the Queen”. That was disgustingly and unambiguously racist. Dreadlocks are a hairstyle, when all is said and done...where were the articles about Carole’s shiny brown bob disgracing Her Majesty’s balcony? Nowhere.

So yes, there has been some racism in the MSM but nowhere near as much as people insist there’s been.

This is just my opinion, and you’ll probably disagree with me - and obviously this lovely thread isn’t the place for a big debate - but I jusr wanted to give the alternative view on that particular article. A shameful, shitty article? Yes. But I don’t think it’s racist.

Agree, my best friend is very pale and fair with light eyes - her husband is very dark skinned with deep brown eyes- she’s pregnant and we often/both families have often discussed how their baby will look. Nothing more than curiosity and excitement.

AJ??? oh no! I thought he was beetter than that. Stomrzy - yeah. loud too. Shame as I like his music. Anthony Watson -- rugby player. gave a very balanced statement about BLM and his position on the matter. response? stunned silence on all sides. He is my son's hero.
