Well, I have personally heard her speak in three....so there is that. Granted, they were brief speeches....not conversational...but as I have mentioned before, I have taken beginning French THREE TIMES, and still struggle. When I am in France, it takes me days to acclimate...and when I return to Washington, my skills go out the window in weeks. I admire anyone who is bi-lingual, and anyone who has a broader range astounds me.
Edited to add: My son, who also lives and works here in Washington, speaks German and Russian for his work and is quite proficient after years of study and use. Being multilingual is not at all unusual here.
There is a difference between being fluent in a language and holding a pre-learned speech, possibly while having a cheat sheet! I am sure she can parrot just fine, as long as she has had enough time to memorize said speech. I've seen videos of her 'speaking' French. She says two or three MOST basic things and then switches to English. She can't even converse in simple sentences with Kindergarden children. This instant switch back to a language the person is fluent in, is a dead giveaway for faking it.
Trust me, I know what I am talking about. I am the stupid one in a family of multi lingual Einsteins. And I am a trilingual secretary/assistant. Almost everyone else in my family speaks five or six languages. I have learned four and forgotten two and a half of them
