I know it had to happen for the purposes of plot, but I’ve been irritated all day by the fact that the school didn’t contact Claire or Catherine when Ryan didn’t arrive at school - it’s a basic safeguarding requirement: all school needs to follow up if a pupil doesn’t turn up as, truanting aside, they could have been involved in an accident en route to school.

I thought the same. Have to suspend one's disbelief.

I found a lot of it far fetched but I suppose that's why it's a drama?! I thought if Catherine was that concerned she would have checked with the school that he was there? I've had my sons school ring me quite a few times saying he wasn't there and I've tit myself saying 'you WHAT'? Then when they double check, he is there. I've said before that it would help if they double check before ringing me and making me panic!

I told my husband about the four different endings and he ever the pessimist declared “well that means they couldn’t figure out how to finish it then”

That can’t be the case surely? But also why would they waste time and money filming all the extra scenes, knowing they wouldn’t use them all? Was there a reason given in the podcast?

Not on the one I listened to (Obsessed with)

I wonder if it’s because they didn’t want any spoilers I think they did the same with line of duty too. Also, I reckon the endings are probably all quite similar so a lot of the shots they’ve taken can be used in all of them if that makes sense?
There might be an element of her not knowing how to end it as in she doesn’t know what the best fit was - does she keep everything sweet, have TLR die & everyone live happier ever after? Or is that too cliche?
I think it’s exciting but I’ll wanna know what the other 3 were after 🤣🤣

Or she’ll forget to double de-clutch and run over TLR (preferably when he’s shirtless 🤣) the double de-clutching has to have some significance, it was mentioned too many times not to !

Or she runs over Catherine by accident! No idea where TLR would come into that storyline though. Maybe he will just carry on being a cyclist and gets into an altercation with Jeremy Clarkson.

Couldn't find a decent one in his suit so have a topless one instead 😂

Has anyone seen Kiri? Debating whether to watch that or Last Tango In Halifax.

Kiri is fantastic but Last Tango is my FAVOURITE EVER! Watch them both.

Guys, I'm new here, hi 👋 Full blown Wainwright fangirl and fricking OBSESSED with Happy Valley. It's agony waiting a week between episodes!

Definitely think Rob is going to panic and hide the body because he can see all fingers will point to him and doesn't want to go down for it, then it'll end up in a right torrid mess as they do the math and realise it was Faisal. I think Faisal will be done for the murder and Rob will end up being charged with obstruction of justice or similar. More might come out about the grooming, too...? His attitude change toward Ryan was too swift - I'm not sure if that seed was planted to make the revelation about Rob & Joanna getting together while she was a student and he a teacher land with more impact, or there's more to come.

Fascinated to read the theories here about Neil being TLR's dad. Imagine!!!
