I've been thinking that Catherine will die so she will finally be "rejoined" with her daughter. Like that is all the peace she really craves.

And hopefully Tommy dies in the process.

But Ryan will definitely see Tommy for what he is, he isn't naive, he knows Tommy is a bag of tit, he is seeing it for himself. I don't think he at all approved of Tommy escaping court.

I think Something will happen to Annie for not giving the numberplate of the silver Yaris Catherine gave her. I can’t work out why Catherine didn’t log this herself or go and see Annie’s boss herself which is why I think this is going to escalate. They’ll look at the cctv from the court and Catherine will recognise them from the car. She’ll crack knowing she

Don’t think he’ll make his wedding on Wednesday!

How come Sarah Lancashire does no promo, James Norton is everywhere at the moment and she's a big name too. Maybe she just doesn't like it and doesn't feel the need and her agent doesn't push it. Or working on something else. Just wondered.

There was an article about her in the DM yesterday that suggested she’d suffered with depression so maybe she prefers to stay out of the talk show circuit 😊

It’s here…

I'm worried that something terrible is going to happen to Claire. Catherine wouldn't forgive herself if they weren't on speaking terms and she dies/is caught in the TLR crossfire.

Does anyone else find it frustrating everytime Catherine goes "there's things you don't know." I get why and it's very telling that for someone so blunt and open when communicating, the entire situation with Becky is too terrible and harrowing for her to speak about. She needs to be crystal clear with Ryan, I know she wasn't planning on it until he's an adult but at this point she needs to spell out what TLR has done, to Ann as well as Becky. If he still wants to see his father after knowing all that then Tommy can have him, but it obviously won't go that way.

Just a (probably not very relevant) observation - there was no reason for them to cut to Rob's mum when he was on the phone to her unless she features in the last two episodes and plays a more important part in that story

Also, in retrospect the reveal about Joanne being Rob's pupil explains her character a bit more - she'd been groomed since she was a teenager then went from school straight into an abusive marriage (and I guess was quite a bit younger than we originally thought?) - and so there might have been a bit of arrested development going in there. The clumsy way she tried to manipulate Faisel, for example was a bit like something a teenager would do

I refuse to even consider that Sally Wainwright, this amazing writer of women, won’t give this hard working, capable, police officer with severe trauma in her life the retirement she deserves. There will be pain - more pain - she’ll have to take with her but Catherine’s arc has to end not in soap land.

I do think someone might have deposited Ryan at school and then hung about the exit for a bit but appreciate he needed to be in Leeds.

I worry about Claire falling off the wagon but also hope that’s too basic and obvious.

I think the Rob’s Mum scene was to show him being crappy with her but clearly noting that about himself and reeling it in a bit. Maybe she will say he’s a shithead to the police when Joanna’s case progresses.

Yeah they’ve shown him being crappy with his mum before, probably to show what a nasty specimen he is.

I've heard good things about this film

It was adapted by Willy Russel from a stage play he wrote called Stags and Hens, so from what I remember of it, it does come across a bit like a stage play and I’m not sure if it will have stood the test of time as I haven’t watched it for years but I liked it at the time. A lot of women fancied him after that film!
