Tony is growing on me too, loved it when he said we are all just here to sew and have fun
I can see a Tony, Mia, Asmaa final
In the preview of next week it looks like Tony gets to use camouflage fabric and seemed in his element.

Asmaa is always dressed so elegantly, I assume she makes her dresses.

I think this week was much better in terms of the challenges, they were definitely trying! That Audrey dress with the burrito method crescent back, looks difficult. I have done burrito method before on a back yoke for a shirt but it was a large rectangular yoke 😂 I'm not sure how I would fare with the slim curved yoke!

I agree with the fact that young men’s jackets are now being worn shorter and tighter. When my son buys a jacket my husband always says that doesn’t fit. To my son who is 21 it fits perfect!

It just reminded me of wearing plastic pants over Terry towel nappies and getting horrible sweat welts on my thighs. For various reasons I potty trained late enough to remember 😬
Lmfao, I always suspected this was true of Mr F Mercury, but didn’t expect to have it confirmed by the man himself on Tattle, of all places.
I agree though, waterproof pants are not naughty in a good way to me either.

I really like Asmaa and want her to win.

Well darling I have my pride but I also have no shame. 😉
I really like Mia and Vicky but Asmaa would be a very worthy winner. I love the fact that she adjusts garments to her preferences some of the time but doesn’t make it her personality the way Matthew did. I like a harness as much as the next guy but it’s very reductive to make that your one and only thing.

Mia has really grown on me and though it wasn’t my taste, I like that she went her own way with the smoking jacket. Tony and Asmaa basically did the same jacket.
Asmaa has perhaps seen less improvement because she was already very good (urgh that dreaded journey word is hoovering about). I generally get more emotionally invested when a contestant has a less straightforward journey to the final. Unless there’s going to be an unexpected disaster and Asmaa goes next episode…

I have just started watching, am currently on episode 2 with the travel theme.
I am already over Matthew’s harness obsession! Asmaa is incredible, but I like Vicki ( her hair is gorgeous) and Mia shares her name with my baby niece, so am biased towards her too. Maria sounds totally Scottish, would never have guessed she wasn’t born there ( she came over from Costa Rica aged 8). Lauren seems like she could do well too.

Absolutely gutted Lizzie went, she was emerging as an amazing sewer but the wheels fell off. Broke my heart when she spoke about her link to her mum. I think because I’ve lost my mum too.

Mia saying I wasn’t born in the 90’s made me want to vomit! I was still in primary but still!
I couldn’t abide Lizzie, I felt she was so keen to come over as a person who had been so cool when she was young, and that she thought she would win the competition. My daughter and I cheered when she was sent home. She was a good sewer, but they should all be that and she did that thing some of them do, explaining why she was doing things as if she was imparting wisdom. Then there is Asmah. Quiet, unassuming, humble , but absolutely AMAZING. Come on girl, take home that trophy. ❤
