No way is Fauve 26?!?! I'm early 30s and I thought she was ten years older than me!! 😦 I don't know why, but I just assumed by her mannerisms she was an elder woman than me 😂
Lizzie looks a lot like my mum, who is late 50s and so I am surprised to find she's 49.

Wow.

I think Asmaa really wowed with that dress.

I think the final four will definitely include Asmaa, Mia, and then it's a toss up between the others.

I was trying to remember what I wore in the nineties? I can remember my eighties outfits but not nineties. Can’t remember wearing cargo pants? Obvs people did because there was evidence. I was never one for big posh nights out. The most I remember is the Luz Hurley dress and Madonna boobs. Boot cut jeans were a big thing. Funny thing memory isn’t it?

I know Allsaints wore cargo pants but I remember more of them being a bigger thing in the early 00s. Folk used to wear low waisted ones with their thongs showing above

I think it was more combat trouser and T-shirts/cropped tops in the 90s, or it was for me anyway.
Yes I also remember bootcut jeans and paring them with band T-shirts was also a look. The jeans have got skinnier but the rest of my wardrobe has stayed relatively consistent now I think about it. Oops 😅
I didn’t feel like Tony’s was particularly 90s and didn’t like Lizzies either.
Vickies dress felt more like a bridesmaid dress but it looked good on her model and Asmaa’s was just gorgeous. Mia’s was the only one I’d have picked out of a line up and known the inspiration straight away.
Loved the music choices for the episode too but all things considered it’s left me feeling well old (& wishing I could make my own clothes)

Mia wearing last season Gyles Brandreth! He has made so much money from that sweater design. Princess Diana wore it too.

Loved Aasma’s dress. Worthy of garment of the week. The rest of the designs left me cold this week. It’s funny how things change. I would have put money on Lizzie lasting longer than Tony but she had a mare this week.

Goes off to look at ages.

So I would have put Fauve at 34, she’s 26. And Lizzie at 57, she’s 49. Sewing ages people, all that squinting.
That settles it - I am NEVER going to hem those curtains.

Those fecking pins can rust into the material until we move house in 20 years time.

I'm not ruining these classic good looks for the sake of a curtain.

What the hell was Sarah Pascoe wearing? She has to be the worst dressed presenter.
Her styles are sometimes a bit wacky, but she looked beautiful in this episode, that off-white blouse with the draping sleeves and the long tight cuffs was gorgeous!

Bit of a flat episode, I felt, though I had a good giggle at the shower curtain creations. And Mias' pearl-pink scalloped smoking jacket was entertainingly creative in a sea of rather dull made-to-measures (though I cannot see anyone but Asmaa winning the whole thing, she is a beautifully tailored and unstoppable juggernaut of a contestant at this point)

Some of the fitting on the MTMs this week was a bit dodgy. I'd also class Vickie's as a flamboyant dinner jacket, rather than a smoking jacket, although I did like it. It was a bit too short for her model, but shorter, fitted jackets have been in for a while now. Patrick is a bit behind with the times.
