I honestly don’t get why she feels the need to share things like this?? In one breath she is saying she trusts the team to make decisions but then in the other asks people to triple check before things come to her?! Public calling out like that- very toxic
The self importance 😮‍💨😮‍💨
As a manager, this is outrageous. Her workload is not her employees problem. She should have been empowering them all along and fulfilling what is essentially a corporate sponsor role in which she provides support and constructive challenge to her teams decisions. Ultimately, the buck stops with our Greg, but chastising your employees because you work at more than one company is really not their issue. Her corporate governance is completely shot, and she needs to get someone in to fix it.

Can we also talk about how she used the term “micro-mangey” in a serious context in a message to her team?? she’s such a cool gen z girl boss😍

If she had any real world experience working in businesses or for other people she might know what she can drop and you know, how to actually be a boss.

I worked in a job where I was extremely micro managed for just 4 months and it did so much damage. I am a fully capable, confident person with good grammar/ spelling etc but the way my line manager acted with me genuinely had me spiralling. It was not a hard job but she asked to see every email before I sent it, edited all my minutes with really unnecessary amendments, was constantly breathing down my neck and questioning everything I did. She delayed me sending out an important email for a whole morning making me look ill prepared and like i couldnt manage my time because she was stressing about an apostrephe in the email subject (and the consensus/ outcome she eventually came to was i was right!). Anyway, all that to say it made me soo anxious and put such a massive dent in my self confidence in the work place. I was signed off with stress and then covid hit so I was let go. Took me years to recover and feel myself again and confident in my abilities. Sorry to derail but I hope grace realises that by micromanaging and feeling the need to approve EVERYTHING her team does she will absolutely not be seeing their best work or allowing them to feel confident in their work and flourish and impress her. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in that office is walking on eggshells and constantly nervous

She is so unprofessional!
Which CEO/ Founder CRIES to their employees about the amount of work they have? Hun, you are pocketing a GOOD chunk of it, get over yourself. I am sure that her employees also have a lot of work to complete before their annual leave but am equally sure their last annual leave was more than 2 weeks ago, unlike Grace's.
The last sentence sent me 🤣 "just in case I look like I'm always good at job" - No, you really really don't! 😆
First, you'd need to be at said job for more than 2 weeks in a row. Second, you are lucky that you have a team that does the actual work for you - something you never actually publicly praise or acknowledge.
I have worked with similar managers before who would micromanage the tit out of everything just so they could say: See, I am doing something; despite the 'something' being completely unnecessary.

Yes to all of the above, that is an extremely patronising and rude message and implies that the work she is currently reviewing from her staff is of a poor quality

Totally. It reads as 'if you all made less mistakes, I would spend less time reviewing stuff' when what she needs to do is majorly step back and let her senior team sign off on the majority of non-strategic outputs. Does she think other CEOs sit around proof reading social media posts?! Oh yeah I forgot, she isn't the CEO any more she's a 'founder', so not really qualified to do the strategic business work either. Guess they have to give her something.

What’s annoying too is that if she’s “having” to put pissy messages on Slack about what her team are sending her, then she’s clearly not giving clear enough instructions about what she wants in the first place. All of this just adds up to the vision of a whiny boss baby (boss babe-y?). Ultimately if you’re in charge, the buck stops with you. The good and the bad, it’s all your responsibility in the end.

Does her boyfriend genuinely have a job? I know he supposedly is a photographer. But he spends an awful lot of time on hand with Grace or at home.
New job alert! Grace Beverley posted “Boyfriend” on Indeed

Arse kissing at will, freeloading off an enormous inheritance, the sending of carefully planned instagram appropriate voicenotes/messages detailing the achievements and grandeur of employer, part time (23.5 hours a day) care of 2 neglected dogs and duty of being the only friend to a boss babe businesswoman that doesn’t have the time, manners or personality for other relationships

(edit, apologies as if our professional Grace would dare to use indeed, LinkedIn would be the obvious and only choice)

But I thought the tala white shirt was the Most Perfect White Shirt Ever? Why would greg need to purchase an £800+ shirt from Miu Miu instead if the tala one is so great?! Either way they both look dreadful/like a school uniform.
