The fact this woman's insurance quotes were so high, shows what a risk she was. An elderly family member insisted on flying to Australia last year (against all our advice). He has undergone a quad heart bypass, and lost his foot due to diabetes and his insurance quote was still only £1000! This woman's was triple that.
 
The sad reality is that she's so unwell, she could be there for months before she's deemed fit to fly even with a medical evacuation flight. There's no way that the £36k they've managed to find fools enough to part with is going to cover a fraction of those medical bills or someone being out there with her. Even bringing her body home if it comes to it won't be cheap.
