Sorry to bump this dead thread but I was clearing out some folders on my computer and I found this, which someone I know who works in TV sent me a few years ago and I guess I never deleted it. Anyway old tea if anyone's interested.
"For years and years DT was best friends with a woman who works a behind the scenes role in TV. I won’t say her name as she’s not in the public eye. He got her hired as crew on all his shows, made guest appearances in her own projects, she made short films starring him, made videos honouring him whenever he left a project, and for years they were inseparable. She came to all his press nights and premiers (even ones he brought girlfriends too), she accompanied him to all his TV interviews and acted like an unpaid PA.
He starts dating Georgia, it’s the three of them attending events together all the time. DT moves to the US alone, Georgia finds out she’s pregnant, DT spends months “dithering” whether to return to the UK or stay in America and financially support the baby.
The day of the wedding, Female Best Friend tweets that she’s spending the day crying. She makes a video celebrating DT which is shown at the reception. She and Georgia spend years making passive aggressive swipes at each other on social media but she continues to be a third party in their relationship, even going on their honeymoon with them.
Female Best Friend then suddenly gets married to a much younger actor who’s close friends with and “writing a script” with Georgia. But they live apart, FBF ends up moving abroad to work on a show in Spain, this young actor suddenly starts getting cast in DT’s movies, and he even moves in with Georgia while DT is living in the US for six months shooting the Broadchurch remake. The whole thing is so weird and I can't figure any of it out."
