I can't bear her, never could. She's always seemed like such a a desperate clingon, and that side of things has got worse over the years.

IIRC DTs family background is quite religious I think, that will have quite an impact on relationships especially once children are involved - as such I wonder whether the dithering on his part (that was mentioned upthread) was because he knew that once he committed to her and the baby then he was in that relationship for life...which is a big thing when it's an unplanned pregnancy and you're on the brink of a Hollywood career.

So I don't think he'll ever divorce her, he'll just put up with the status quo for the children etc, I'm sure on some levels he is quite happy although God knows how. And she certainly won't divorce him as she clearly loves her life of vicarious fame (although it would be amusing to see her go full Alice Evans if they did split).

Its funny how jealous of Billie she is, I wonder if that's as much on a work as personal level ie GT probably thinks she's as good an actress as Billie and that she should have got the part of Rose. Glad she didn't, she would have been awful and there would probably have been way less chemistry than he had with Billie!
 
For what it’s worth, I don’t think DT has got anyone to blame for the lack of the Hollywood career other than himself. He always seemed to make the worst choice of projects when it came to film (or maybe he was offered only the crappy ones, in which case maybe he should find a better agent). I often wondered what his wife had on him to get him to finance and star in the film she co-wrote? It looked and sounded completely dreadful, and he looked like he realised that, even as he promoted it.

Agree, his TV work has been impeccable, DW obvs, but also Broadchurch, Des, Casanova - but his film choices have been dismal. I can’t even remember their names. St trinians maybe? Awful. I’ve seen a couple. If she’s putting these business class clauses in on his behalf no wonder he never got the work in decent films.

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Fright Night with Colin Farrell and a few VO parts like Chip And Dale.
 
I feel like his going back to Dr Who for the specials was 1) to help try and save the leaking ship and 2) for a career boost to gain fame with the Gen Z crowd. I've seen on Tumblr young posters seem obsessed with Good Omens with him and Sheen in. I wonder what he will appear in next, but hopefully he is now done with Dr Who. I don't like it when actors keep returning to the same thing.

The Decoy Bride. (Made the mistake of watching it some years ago, and saw it was on iPlayer or ITVx when I was scrolling the other night, otherwise I wouldn't even have been able to recall the name. Dreadful.)

The barely concealed homo-erotic undertones, I expect. Which were confirmed in Good Omens 2. And may involve them both getting their kecks off for Good Omens 3. Not sure whether I'll watch that one or not . . .
 
I also have lots of old tea from people who know them and can confirm what’s been said upthread. 2008–9 she was very unpopular with his theatre friends, miserable and moody and hanging off him at social events, not letting anyone get near him. Certainly meant to hook her man. DT also certainly did go out with lots of girls but has a lot of close friends (male and female) and you won’t find anyone with a bad word to say about him in either theatre or TV industry. Known to be very loyal and to further friends’ careers however he can.

I actually came on here to say what a pissed off cow Georgia looks tonight on the BAFTAs. Eg after the in Memoriam section, DT looked very moved and she looked incredibly bored.
 
She looked like an over wrapped quality street .... the camera panned to her a few times and she didn't look happy.
No attention for her if he didn't win.
