This is what I don’t get. World class athletes get constantly tested. A cheek swab is non invasive, it’s quick and it only needs to be done once.

The only reason that they stopped doing it is because someone had a vested interest in getting it stopped. And that person or people aren’t women.
 
I would have zero problems doing a cheek swab if it ensured other women were kept safe, for anything, not just sports. I don’t find that intrusive at all especially when you consider what people have said about drug testing. And it would only need to be done once per sports body if they record keep properly.

Do you know what, the IOC could come out and demand saliva swaps on all female Olympians tomorrow and these people would still bury their heads in the sand if the results came back as XY for these boxers.

Their only interest is in being right and looking down on others. They will never admit they are wrong. Ever. They will just move the goal posts again.

It's horrific, what does that say about people with with downs syndrome when they're using it as an insult?
It's an awful thing to say.

Thr IOC could clear this up in minutes, they won't though as they've always let this happen.

It's nothing compared to a covid test or a blood test or even a urine sample and it only has to be done once. I don't see how they're justifying not doing it or how they justified getting rid of it in the first place.

Vested interests. Huge sponsorship money / clothing/ trainers/ staff/training gyms/ hotels etc etc.

Also - betting/ gambling from those in the sport/ olympic staffs.

Huge sums of money placed all over the place on a Man winning the Women's medals.


Makes multi-millionaires out of a LOT of people........even at poor odds because he's won them,hasnt he.........

Money, there are equal numbers of medals. Medals equals money, equals funding. For ages there was no money to be made from women’s sports because ‘no one was interested’. This means more people are interested in cheating to win.

First we had doping - East Germany, Russia, and domination in women’s sports like swimming and gymnastics. Now there is an invasive drug testing programme.

Then we started having DSD athletes who were excluded by sex testing but it was still worth trying because a mediocre man can beat most women and that would guarantee a medal or prize money. When the IOC was persuaded sex testing was wrong as a precursor to the next stage, these athletes have started to dominate.

Most recently, there has been the incentive to self identify from being a mediocre male athlete to one that will smash records. Aided mainly by fully captured countries and sports associations such as NZ (Laurel Hubbard) and Canada. If you can’t see test and you can self ID there will be no more women’s sport. Self ID is going on in skateboarding, in cycling, in parkruns. There is a website that has been mentioned that tries to keep a list.

TLDR women’s sport is now worth winning for men because money hence cheats

Money explains the cheats but why are the sports federations and the IOC etc enabling it? They're happy to drug test to prevent doping so why don't they want to prevent cheating via DSD?
 
So to recap, both the WBO and IBA have stated that the two boxers in question have failed gender/sex tests and that they don't have the right genes to compete in women's sports but everyone is too busy screaming "bigot" to actual read about this and to realise we aren't lying, it's actually bleeping happening.

Is that about right!?

I do laugh at the fact that I introduced myself as a "cis" woman on this thread a year and a half ago 🤣🤣🤣 I was soon schooled, but look at me now 🤪

IOC is incredibly corrupt. There are many articles online contending that it continues to this day and is state sponsored. Countries that want a man to compete against women to win a medal had over a bag of cash… and they are allowed to compete without investigation.
Other countries that follow the rules and expect fair play are naive at best. Cycling doping was institutional, Lance Armstrong was just the best at it.

My BIL and his wife (who I mentioned earlier in the thread) are the same. Both university-educated, have good jobs, and usually take the micky out of anyone else who wears a tinfoil hat and ignores actual science. Yet here we are. I blame social media for this, namely Reddit and X/Twitter, as it’s so easy to get swept away by what comes up on your feed (I follow a lot of GC accounts but somehow, I am still being fed Tweets on my home feed in favour of IK being a woman. Thanks, algorithm) 😔

Precisely this. They allowed a convicted rapist to compete. They ignored the World Boxing Organisation’s recommendation to not allow biological males to compete in women’s events. Their idea of a “gender check” is to look at a passport.
They’re just in it for themselves; they don’t give a hoot about anyone else.

Sorry if I'm being really dumb here but how do the IOC make money from it? Surely it would be better for them if this current saga wasn't happening? Are they getting money from woke sponsors or are individuals within the IOC making money through betting or something?
