Oh good I was having to watch on my phone as I couldn’t stream it to tv! I can’t really comment anything because I don’t know what’s normal or not in boxing. It’s currently on BBC iPlayer, it was just announced on the beeb after the gymnast medal ceremony!
I clocked the same thing straight away. I think it was Janjaem Suwannapheng and they had previously been disqualified for failing the "gender test". Do they think we are blind?Honestly I’m quite suspicious about the boxer in blue in this match
I stand corrected. T' internet lied to me - hard to believe! It’s currently on BBC iPlayer, it was just announced on the beeb after the gymnast medal ceremony!
Thank you for the update - it's something I can't watch.Watching on Discovery plus. The Hungarian has landed a couple of good punches and the crowd are on her side for sure. The man has been warned twice by the ref. The man has taken the 1st round (do they call it a round?)

They showed it on the 10pm news. To which my husband, who had previously argued with me to tell me that Imane is female, immediately shouted “THAT’S A MAN! 100%!” at the TV when he saw Lin Yu-Ting.Did bbc show yesterday’s fight? I was out so didn’t try to look for it. BBC are only allowed two live feeds and they will prioritise medal / team GB events so I can’t blame them for it on this occasion.
if anything eventful happens it won’t take long for clips to be shared.
It's a good thing that Khelif is getting a medal. Keeps it in the news. The worse it is now the better it is in the long run imo. Hope Hamori is ok.The man won and goes on to compete for a medal.

Oh he is guaranteed at least a bronze now. Don’t know how that’s worked.

I wonder why too. I’m sure it’s to do with special powers stemming from his penis-looking vagina*, and not his XY chromosomes or anything like thatThe man won and goes on to compete for a medal.

I dunno, he definitely tried. Hamori did a great job avoiding most of his big punches. I think Khelif caught Carini with that big punch so early on it just destroyed her confidence.I think Hamori has benefitted (physically) from the outcry over the brutality of the treatment Khelif meted out to Carini.
He didn't DARE use such force a second time.
Not taking anything away from her though - she had a lot of guts even to get into the ring with him.
