not to get all psychoanalytical on this, a thread about hot f1 drivers, but it makes me sad that you can see how max still craves jos’ approval and validation. like he doesn’t seem to be able to acknowledge how unhealthy his dad’s “methods” were.

his relationship with kelly makes so much sense to me both because she’s older and because she’s so ott (for want of a better phrase) in her affection of him. to a lot of people she’s a bit extra but i fully get how max, who didn’t have an overly soft childhood, thrives with having a full-on gf 🤷🏼‍♀️

PS neither max or lewis fan here, it is what it is, dramatic but crappy win/loss on both sides if you ask me.

Simply FIA made not very good decisions (not only in this race but this season), mainly absolutely no consistency in penalties and so on what ist very bad for sport.

agreed. that says he's still young with a lot to learn, and definitely a lot of winning to do. I forsee some dark point in his career coming to terms with things. i means i sincerely hope not, but its a lot of carry around, especially when your abuser, i mean father, is literally looking over your shoulder every race.

This is not about age, speaking from personal experience my father was also very abusive and also still has the tendencies and all my life I hoped that it is going to be better and when won running champ in my country as 29 I still hoped for is validation . Its very complicated
