Omg thank you for this explanation - I caught a tweet about this but didn’t know what it meant? It’s sort of the whole issue with social media is ppl can craft this pity me narrative and monetise it/gain public profile from it and it’s troublesome.

I’ve probably walked through 4/5 people’s video footage today spending about 2/3 hours shopping. I appreciate not all - if any - will be fading 2018 freebie grabbers still trying to make it work and posting that to the Texan Darleens but this is definitely far worse than pre-pandemic? And my pre-pandemic frame of reference would have been walking through central London tourist hotspots rather than a normal city centre! I guess everyone wants to make #content to try and live a grifty life.

To the lady whose dad is filmed without his consent hoping you get that taken down, good luck 🙏🏻❤️

This is what I can’t get my head around. I like taking photos (of landscapes normally) but I also feel like a massive twit standing there with my camera, even if there’s only a few people around. I can’t imagine walking around in public doing a long monologue into my phone without feeling like a giant tit. I don’t know if it’s because older than most of them* and they’ve grown up with it being the norm, but I bet half of them wouldn’t answer the phone if someone rang them, yet they’re fine with doing a soliloquy to an non existent audience, with strangers milling around them.

*with the exception of FOD who needs to just fkin stop it. I’m older than him, but I look like a fetus compared to that dusty ass knobhead.

It’s not even that hard to do Slymon.

He doesn't have the time to do anything that isn't focused on him. And his attendance to detail is rubbish so he'd probably mess it up.

I'm going to say something controversial.......I suspect she does her fair share of parenting. If we relied on his posts for the truth about everything we would be sadly misled. But he has chosen to present himself sometimes as the poor, put upon father. I just don't believe it. We already know that she does school drop-off.

When I did parkrun we had a volunteer photographer every week, any runner who didn't want their pic taken was left alone & not put on the park run socials.
