Starmer is shocked immigration is so high. He had no idea! It’s funny because it’s not exactly a shock for anyone else. The conservatives will wipe the floor with Labour next time around. I’m pretty sure of it. There’s been a shift.

I'm fairly liberal but I must say, what I saw today irked me. I was at hospital having my pregnancy scan. I couldn't help but notice in the waiting room that a good chunk of the people there (I presume) were not British born as they could not speak English. A couple had official translators with them and the others were struggling and failing to communicate with staff and it was really stressing the staff out because they just wanted to help and make sure baby was safe and they just couldn't do their job. The men with them were not understanding they can't just walk into women's private spaces etc

As I understand it, non British nationals are charged for healthcare but it got me wondering if they came here illegally there's no way to charge for it. I have no idea if these people were here illegally or not but it did make me annoyed that a clearly overwhelmed service is paying for this presumably? I know my life is worth the same as all the other women waiting but it did piss me off that I pay my taxes for this.

You are aware that it's the Tories who've been in power whilst immigration figures rose so dramatically? It would be a very stupid person who'd vote for the Tories then.

I lived there decades ago when everyone said it was Labour that opened the floodgates but I was talking about the next election. Whoever presents themselves as being toughest on immigration will win.

However what IS interesting is that the BBC have switched position slightly and are now openly using the word illegal. Fair enough it’s illegal comma irregular, but the illegal part is there. A change in syntax to reflect public opinion?

Is anyone really surprised?

Like everything nowadays, checks seem to be non existant.

Whilst they are at it, they should be looking at every hand car wash, nail bar, Turkish Barbers, American candy stores, vape shops and phone shops (for starters) that have infested every city, town, and many villages. I'm pretty sure investigations would reveal large scale tax evasion, money laundering, illegal goods and employment of illegal migrants.
