I got really angry when Belle initially was going to leave Piper behind and shouted "You stupid witch!" at the telly (I may have partaken of a few brandies today). As if you'd leave your pet with someone who'd been violent and controlling.

Agree with all the above, wtf was up with Tom's hair. Made him look even more of a tool than he usually does.

Laura Shaw, producer, said in a recent interview that the Tom and Belle storyline wasn't ending anytime soon.

Emmerdale have released a video which is on their Facebook page showing how some of last nights scenes were filmed. I actually feel sorry for the actor playing Tom as he is such a bloody awful character and person, plus he gets much criticism for his acting skills which aren't the best, however he does seem like a really nice person in real life. I expect he is getting lots of abuse himself just now.

I see those, I do feel sorry for the actor when I watch them and he did work hard to get it right. I did read somewhere that he has said he gets verbal abuse when he is out and about shopping etc.
 
I dip in and out of Emmerdale so I missed Belle and Tom’s courtship. Did the writers drop any hints as to what he was like when they were dating or did he only show his true awful colours after the wedding ? (I saw her wedding night holding the photo of her mum and her crying after he had rejected her 🤬😢and she ended up on the sofa)

I watched the barn scene on catch up tonight. So unbelievably bad. I hope the actor isn’t deluded enough to think he’s gonna win some soap award for best baddie on the back of that performance.or any of his quite frankly. The fuse box put out a more convincing performance and deserves an award! And to repeat another tattler, if Paddy was the one to deliver that blow to the chest then he needs to stick to vetinary medicine and forget the humans!

Like when someone is taking pills, they are in a medicine bottle or blister pack with the type of pills they are in big black lettering on the label like TRANQUILLISERS, when in reality it would just be the brand name or similar on the pack in much smaller letters

as someone who works in the pharmaceutical industry - don't get me started on this type of stuff 😂 especially when they make up random names of drugs/types of drugs

When you see pills in little brown bottles usually during a suicide attempt...I worked in a hospital pharmacy years ago, and even back then, the only pills that were dispensed in bottles were vitamins or iron tablets!
 
Going of FB there is a dividend option on the Belle and Tom storyline, while I agree it can't be finished quickly as it does need to show the reality of coercive control at the same time I agree it needs to be over soon. I say this as there is no light and shade currently it is like the villagers are struggling with something there is no positive and light- hearted stories.
