Oh bloody heck, when you said a shocker I just assumed you meant another dull pile of crap. And I literally just said the other day what potential this character had . Why do they do this? Cull some of the rubbish characters instead ffs- there’s enough of them! !Tonight’s Emmerdale is on Itvx, I know it’s only half an hour away, just a heads up it’s a shocker
Did they not show a near miss with two cars? The kids car was fine, they just got a fright at that point? Then Aaron and Mack pulled up. They weren’t overly concerned. Just said a near miss. They wouldn't write another car crash for Mackenzie so soon after his cliffhanger would they???.
You never know with this show though.

She's like a pint sized Gemma Collins, but with even less charm and charisma. Why WHY couldn’t it have been Cathy I can’t stand her
Suzy and Mary are SO gonna get together.
Good shout. Hopefully would recast the actress into someone capable of a decent storyline.Someone over on Digital Spy reckons the twins who play Cathy and Heath have A-levels coming up next year and so wanted to be written out for that reason. That sounds plausible - perhaps the lad who played Heath didn't want to pursue acting anyway (let's face it he was hardly destined to be the next Rober DeNiro or Al Pacino) and Cathy going to a young offender's institution for the foreseeable future would give the actress time to do her A-Levels.

I find with most soaps they underuse their younger characters. That makes sense because Heath hasn't been much of a presence as a character in the show compared to Cathy. So as you say, he probably didn't want to pursue acting and this works well to get rid of him. And if they needed to study, that's probably why Cathy randomly went to stay with Scott a while back.
I'm always curious about Sarah. She seems very much a bit-part character. It's been ages since she had a big story. She wasn't really involved with Chloe throughout her time in the village even though she was the reason that Chloe was introduced.
And we don't see Angelica much either. I forget she exists most of the t

Doesn’t Angelica have siblings?
She said Scott had taught her to drive when she had been staying with him.I just assumed Cathy lost control of the car & they veered off the road & hit a wall? She had never driven before (am I right?). She had just continued driving after the near miss with the other car.
Pity it wasn't her they got rid of....
