Tonight’s Emmerdale is on Itvx, I know it’s only half an hour away, just a heads up 🤪 it’s a shocker
Oh bloody heck, when you said a shocker I just assumed you meant another dull pile of crap. And I literally just said the other day what potential this character had 😭. Why do they do this? Cull some of the rubbish characters instead ffs- there’s enough of them! !

Poor Heath hardly seen for years then killed, I thought Kathy might have had an injury that resulted in a hysterectomy as a way to wrap up that storyline. I think the near miss was Aaron and Mack nearly getting caught stealing a car before Aaron convinces Mack to go for another one?

I think the storyline will be Bob will be unable to forgive Cathy and expect this will drag on for a few weeks. I too thought Aaron and Mack may have been involved somehow. Funny how we didn't see the actual crash.

Oh and see it was back to the usual hospital room that the whole village has probably had a turn of lying in that bed 😅

Oh wow, I've only just caught up with tonight's episode. What a shocker - and such a good episode.

Emmerdale is so good when it does these shock twists which aren't spoilered like Holly's death.

Poor Heath with his luscious long locks had so much potential.

I'm not looking forward to more screeching and poor acting from Cathy.

Suzy and Mary are SO gonna get together.

I remember quite sometime back it looked like they were building up to a Mary and Susie romance. Then the Susie actress was off for ages; she had some health issues. So, I guess they had to put it on hold and are now picking it up again.

Someone over on Digital Spy reckons the twins who play Cathy and Heath have A-levels coming up next year and so wanted to be written out for that reason. That sounds plausible - perhaps the lad who played Heath didn't want to pursue acting anyway (let's face it he was hardly destined to be the next Rober DeNiro or Al Pacino) and Cathy going to a young offender's institution for the foreseeable future would give the actress time to do her A-Levels.

Good shout. Hopefully would recast the actress into someone capable of a decent storyline.

That makes sense because Heath hasn't been much of a presence as a character in the show compared to Cathy. So as you say, he probably didn't want to pursue acting and this works well to get rid of him. And if they needed to study, that's probably why Cathy randomly went to stay with Scott a while back.

I'm always curious about Sarah. She seems very much a bit-part character. It's been ages since she had a big story. She wasn't really involved with Chloe throughout her time in the village even though she was the reason that Chloe was introduced.

And we don't see Angelica much either. I forget she exists most of the t

I find with most soaps they underuse their younger characters.
Doesn’t Angelica have siblings?

Yes, Jimmy also has Elliot and Carl.

I'm quite happy with them not using the younger characters. They are usually poor actors who just have the roles because they grew up on the soap. If anything, I think that Emmerdale has far too many babies and children. Maybe I'm just becoming old and bitter, because I think that the kids should be seen - but only if necessary - and definitely not heard.:D
