I quite liked the Xmas day one, today's one is a let down.
So when I watched Xmas day episode I didn’t realise they’d been put on early, so assumed it was Fridays then watched this morning and thought that was the Christmas Day episode. So they are slightly better than I thought? But I still think they were crap. The only storyline was the mckenzie thing and as we’ve already had SO many kidnappings this year it wasn’t exciting at all.

Good riddance

Hello all, thought I'd pop in as another regular Emmerdale viewer. I'm glad Chloe's gone, although the ultimatum was a bit silly. If Mack and Charity had stuck to the truth and called her bluff, I'm pretty sure that the forensics would show that Hamon (my portmanteau of Harry and Damon) was shot at close range thus supporting the true story. And it would soon be clear that Chloe knew Hamon was holding Mack hostage. Chas would also confirm that when they arrived, Chloe was in the room with Hamon and Mack, so her story that she just arrived to see Charity shoot Hamon wouldn't hold up.

Anyway, what's done is done. I do like Mack, because he's pretty and I'm shallow, and I'm a sucker for Scottish accents:D Although I've not liked how the magnificent Charity has been acting like lovesick teenager over him. Charity has loved and lost far better men.

TBH I can't see what the point of Chloe was at all.

It didn't help that the actress is so poor. And her just hanging around for ages doing nothing but have one night stands with people didn't help her either.

I actually like Chloe and think she was a pretty good actress. She just had the part to play of the miserable character Chloe. She has posted a video which is on the Emmerdale Facebook page with her goodbyes and comes across as a nice bubbly girl.

What was with the grey tracksuits though which Mack, Chloe and Charity were all wearing 🤔

I assumed it was because they had taken their clothes as evidence.

Love Emmerdale, I can’t help it.
Just can’t quite get my head around Mack’s resilience to his hostage situation. This is a man who was tied up for days, no food/water or very little, beaten up and basically left for dead. Unyet Charity walks in and he perks up. He didn’t appear to go to hospital and was able to sit and give evidence like everyone else. The only difference seemed to be an extra cup of water on the desk 🤔

Can't believe that's the end of Chloe and Reuben it's literally back to where they were before so the whole kidnapping thing seems pointless. Mack is a cheat but doesn't mean he should lose his son , Chloe is still a total witch. Don't know why Amy was acting all sisterly as well I remember when they first found out they were sisters and Kerry left , Amy tried to get Chloe to move out and had no interest in her.
Wish it was the theory on here where Chloe was shot by mistake and Mack takes Reuben

yep and the gangster bloke is now dead.
So what was the point?

And whats the point of Amy and Matty?

Also, what was the point of making Chloe, Kerry's daughter? They did it just before the actress's maternity leave, so I thought that they were setting it up for her return.

The story would have worked just as well, (or badly if we're being pedantic :D) without that twist.

Probs a link for further down the line. The actress’ farewell video very much left it back open for her, she kept saying ‘watch this space’

I'm annoyed they've made an affair storyline for Caleb , I quite liked him being close to the Dingles they're all going to hate him again and Tracy has ruined Nates life the selfish witch he won't have a job after this.
Also annoying they've got Moira keeping it secret

THIS!!! If the police encountered a person who had been beaten up badly and held hostage they would have a duty of care to get them assessed medically before questioning them, what if that person had unseen injuries like internal bleeding?

I got a bit excited when I saw Charity had her phone in her hand when the police burst in and said put your hands up. I thought she may have recorded Chloe blackmailing Mack. But then Chloe left in the taxi and pissed all over my theory.

Really gutted my other previous theory didn't come to fruition, the one about Harry/Damon accidently shooting Chloe. That would have been perfect - Harry locked up, Chloe dead and Mack & Charity free to bring up Reuben.

Looks like they've left it open for dreary Chloe and her folded arms to return, worse luck. Also, she'll be minted as Harry/Damon's sole heir.

Stupid bloody scriptwriting.
