Years ago, Jack Sugden lived abroad - Italy I think. Wasnt he a writer or something?? And wasnt he in a relationship with Marian Wilkes ( daughter of Henry Wilkes who used to run the Woolpack with Amos. I suppose he could have fathered a son during that time with either Marian or someone else. I mean, writers have form for rewriting Jack.
We saw Robert grow up on screen and later the writers decided to make him gay and wrote that Jack had been violent towards him ( suggesting homophobia.) There was never any hint of that.

Jack had an onscreen fling with a teacher named Barbara in the late 80s. Now the writers have decided she got pregnant and hid it from him because they want to rebuild the Sugdens. John and Victoria meet at his mum’s funeral.

I'm willing to accept this because
I think it will be nice to have another Sugden in the show as a link to a legacy character who was one of the main characters when the show began.
it would have been lovely but the minute Aaron’s name was mentioned I was out. I found robron a screen suck at the best of times.
Not if they’re trying to build Chas back up - they’ll prob make Ella the next meena.

I watched the latest episode on itvX earlier today while I was decorating. After it finished the app suggested Emmerdale family trees so I watched the first episode which was all about the Dingles. Was really nice to see them all when they first came into the programme. Cain looked like he’d stepped out of a Charlatans video

Arrrgghhh....I want to know what's happened to Rose! Good riddance (hopefully!) to bad rubbish. Loved watching Kim tell her to pack her bags and duck off. Rather hoped we'd see Kim tearing down that bloody awful Live Laugh Love crap. But I doubt Kim would risk damaging her manicure so I expect we'll see Lydia with a wallpaper scraper sometime soon.
Don't understand why Rose didn't just say "Well I shagged your husband yesterday, how about that?". Is it because Dawn and kids would have to leave Home Farm if Kim and Will split up? That's the only explanation I can think of.
I really like Liam and Ella together and their scenes together tonight were great. Chasferatu isn't going to like this!

I was waiting for to react to the life laugh love tit with utter contempt and distain. It’ll come, Kim never lets us down.
Also Dawn driving around in a 4x4 that Kim clearly bought her, imagine biting the hand that feeds you…. Can’t wait to see her left penniless again at some point!

That Dawn is as dull and dense as her dad. How much of a wad was that he gave Rose?is he independently well off? I don’t know his background.

I doubt Kim would get her own hands dirty, not her style, but I wonder if she's now hired that fella who supplied Rose with the tranquiliser/sedative?
When they did that scene with him and Kim parked up in a country lane my spidey senses tingled. Kim didn't get any information out of him and the scene appeared pointless, or was it?
What it did show was that Kim has his contact details and that he wasn't disloyal to whoever pays him.
Wonder whether he's got rid of Rose for Kim?
