I hope they go all out and kill him off. I’m bored with these half arsed exits where they leave the door open. I guess they want to avoid another Kathy or Den situation where they bring them back to life years later.

Aiden is being mentioned in this Phil storyline. Have him come back and murder Mick.

He was first offered EE in 2009. I always thought it'd be a great fit for him but he said he'd never do it until he was 'bald, fat and fifty' or something along those lines. Guess he changed his mind when he ran out of money and was reduced to doing stuff like 'Run for your wife'. EE saved him.

What are our predictions for Danny's exit story? I want a happy ending for Mick & Linda but that's probably not dramatic enough for EE - unless they want him to come back in a few years or he's said he'd like to return. I wonder if they'll kill him off? Maybe Janine will strike again...

He really was cancelled. It took him ages to get work, hence how he ended up on EE. The home of all wrong’uns!
 
Just saw this comment in the Daily Mirror 😅

'Can’t believe it life just isn’t worth living anymore , first covid now Danny dyer leaving Eastenders, what a tragedy I’ve tried to phone the Samaritans but they are engaged and now I’m thinking of putting my head in the oven but what with the prices of gas/electricity going through the roof by over 50% this year I can’t even afford to kill myself…'
 
Tbf I’m not surprised Danny’s leaving, he’s been in it for 9 years now and EE is definitely in a much worse place compared to 2013, when he first joined. I do wonder what this will mean for the show though, as there’s hardly going to be anyone/any families left! It’s like all the decent characters have been killed off/chosen to leave so they’re left with all the boring ones they haven’t developed.
I miss the days of where the Masood’s, Branning’s, Beale’s, Moon’s, Slater’s and Mitchell’s were the main families.

Totally agree, all great families.

If Phil leaves as well it's doomed.
 
If the Carters are written out we’re going to be left with the Monroes, Panesars and Highways- all of which are small families that have been overdone through the same repetitive scenes. Jay and Honey’s family which is rarely shown. The Atkins’ family which will be a sticky one after Gray leaves. Whitney and Sonia living at Dot’s, both of which aren’t all that interesting. Dotty doing everything but nothing at the same time. A few Slaters left (neglected by Eve taking over) living with the Mitchells- with only Ben and Phil left. The only Beales left are Bobby, Peter and Kathy, none of which are all that likeable. The Foxs, who are alright but a very small family, including Jack- the only Branning left who never gets any material. Isaac and Lola who haven’t been seen for months. The Taylor’s which started off strong but have been ruined into nothing. Sharon and Zack in their never ending dysfunctional family cycle. Mila and Kioni who will probably soon be leaving. And Janine floating around in amongst it all.

Writing that out makes me realise how bad of a state the square is in! I think it’s beyond recovery. I also remembered writing that out that both Shakil and Kush are dead- I use to quite enjoy the Kazemi family dynamic.

Yes I really don’t want Mick and Linda to go off into the sunset together with Ollie and Annie.
Alcoholism traumatises families. Even when Mick said to Ollie “You will sleep at Mummy’s sometimes and here sometimes”. Leaving a child overnight with an alcoholic that is actively drinking? Wtf!

I forget why Max can’t see Annie? Can someone remind me? As if not then why on Earth is it okay that they play God and don’t let Annie know her dad and Mick plays dad. I’m probably missing some big thing here that I’ve forgotten!

Blimey, you really know the residents of the square! 🤣 They need a new family and a big exit storyline for a whole bunch of characters. I honestly think Covid made it impossible to film a dramatic bombing. Not to mention how slated they would have been for such a controversial method of mass killing. A fire would have been better.

What else is left for him. He had 3 kids before her was of legal age. Oh no wait 4! They’ve both dallied with affairs. Owned the pub, lost the pub, owned it again. They’ve had the most far-fetched family dramas, rape, paedophilia, incest, autistic son, gay son, epileptic daughter, my sister is my mother, my other sister is my aunt, who is also gay and disappeared, lost all their money, gained it all again etc. Without becoming a villain, what more could thry do to the poor fella? 🤣
 
I was watching Danny Hatchard (Lee) on TikTok last night, that man is my dream🤣 anyway, someone said ‘do you know Danny dyers leaving eastenders?’ He said he’d known a few months and he wasn’t surprised and it was only a matter of time. So it seems Danny has voiced he isn’t happy and hasn’t been for months there. They have killed this programme a few in the comments were ‘do you think eastenders has run its course and should finish?’ He didn’t answer them but the ratings must be so low! Someone also said the Christmas ones were rubbish and he said he doesn’t watch it so couldn’t comment.

I feel like banging my head against a brick wall with the stupidity of Eastenders and with everyone leaving. Eastenders may as well change to the walking dead or fear the walking dead 😅

The BBC can't cancel the show though because they are spending tens of millions building the new exterior set for the show.

They have to keep going and try and arrest the decline. A new ep hopefully can finally help turn the show around. But I feel we've said this about every EP the last few years.

There are plenty of things they could do with the existing characters, but most of them skulk about with nothing to do, whilst they bring hack old characters or bring in new ones and give them half hearted storylines. Like Janice - she’s set up a stolen car racket and tried to worm her way into two blokes beds and now she’s back with Sonia. I mean would you take her in? I don’t know what the solution is but it needs to shape up!
