Does anyone know how the actors get paid? Is it per episode, contract salary etc. I can't imagine Phil not being in the Jay storyline. Didn't Phil legally adopt Jay (or am I making that up)??

Seperately are Eve and Suki still together?? Can't remember

They get paid per episode, although they have a minimum number of episodes in their contract so they’re guaranteed to earn a certain amount each year. That probably explains why you get characters who get benched for months and then suddenly get a storyline before being forgotten again.

No Suki and Eve have broken up.
Their affair is apparently going to be discovered by Nish soon.

Id imagine for security reasons, you wouldnt want to be publicly associated with either side if you get me? It was a very volatile time. A lot of people from both sides of the divide were prone to ‘disappearing’.

Interesting fact related to this, the guy who played Butch Dingle in Emmerdale was actually from Northern Ireland and did voice overs for Gerry Adams during interviews/news reports etc. The british Government (Maggie Thatcher) had banned his voice from the airwaves…but not his face though which is bizzare😂 so they just got an actor to dub him. 😂 It wasnt disclosed until years later who the actors were, presumably when it was safe to do so

I've unapologetically just removed my daughter from my home screen to manifest (I freaking hate that phrase) a return of the EE Patriarch next week, given it seems to be a Shazza malinky long legs week coming! I'm so baffled by these set storyline weeks. Bring back the chaos!

Is this the week of the extended episode?
