Tonight's ep is so maddening. Those two police people standing speechless at the Vic door, after establishing that Lola, the next of kin, had died they continued to listen to Billy, Ben and Ian telling them that they should disclose what happened to Jay. Ben and Billy being so remorseful, it takes Jay almost dying for them to have some compassion towards him in his despair. Note that Lexi didn't cry at all ...... whereas I did!!
As for Calum flashing his warrant card at the police, then the two security guards in the hospital. Do off duty police staff carry their warrant card at all times, being 'on-duty' even when they are 'off-duty'?
Well done the make-up department making Jay look very much as if he had been in an road accident.
Considering the medical staff said he had brain damage and in a coma, not sure the palpable relief of his close relatives was justified when all he was doing was breathing with the help of a ventilator. He is hardly out of the woods yet.
A powerful episode, although many things didn't quite ring true if it were actual real life, which they are trying to portray.
