Yeah it’s just so unbelievable that anyone would dress like that anymore. Especially a posh uni student who wouldn’t have been a teen when it was the fashion so wouldn’t still have the clothes like Lola.
 
I find the whole Jay/Lola lookalike thing odd because to be perfectly honest, I never saw the two of them as some great love story. In fact, I kind of feel like they got them back together in prep for her death to have this tragic love story play out. I actually found the scenes with Lola/Billy/Lexi much more heartbreaking and would rather they explored Billy's grief than Jay's. In fact, where is Billy? Other than getting a naughty pic from Stace he seems to have disappeared

same - the actors are sweet together but i never bought into them properly. the show always implied that jay loved lola far more than she ever was into him imo: i think they only got them back together to force this doomed soulmate thing exactly like you say.

i would rather a focus on billy too. perry fenwick absolutely knocked it out of the park in that storyline and i’m more interested in how he’s doing.

That's true re Billy, I would prefer a focus on him now.

I find the Jay story tedious and I know I'm repeating something I said upthread but it's almost as if the writers haven't quite decided where they are going with it.
Haven't watched last night's episode yet, will catch up later.
 
I’m getting over all this “jays letting Lexi down” spiel
He isn’t her dad. Imo they should’ve never done that parental responsibility thing cos inevitably they’re gonna have Jay meet someone new and do whatever, what’re they gonna do with Lexi if he starts another family

Also, tonight lexi was stood outside after school talking about they can have 2 films before bedtime, either they’re watching avatar and avatar 2 or that child goes bed at half 6

I agree about the Lexi responsibility. Jay was her step father for a small period of time. Ben is her real father and has a home and partner to bring her up.
Of course Jay will meet someone else eventually and may go on to have children of his own.
The only reason Lola wanted Jay to share responsibility is because Ben was acting like an idiot. He should as himself some questions about that.
 
After Callum reporting Jay tonight I wonder if that’s the start of the end for Ben & Callum as it will obviously highlight. Callum knew & didn’t tell Ben but also reporting Jay isn’t exactly a Mitchel kinda thing to do! (Although appreciate he is in the Police)
