How does she keep getting these opportunities to speak on topics like this? Why don’t they get an actual clinical psychologist to speak about it if they want to discuss themes like this? Is Jess just emailing and asking to speak because I can’t see them directly contacting her

I can absolutely believe that they contacted her. It's standard for tabloid papers and channels like this to trawl social media looking for anything that looks like good clickbait. This is why they aren't very likely to feature actual professionals. Most practising clinical psychologists would be too cautious in what they say, and that sort of nuance doesn't make for attention-grabbing TV. GB News want clicks and viewers, and Jess wants her face on TV, so their interests are pretty well aligned.

Her appearance makes me think of this doing the rounds on the Internet.

I think she doesn't mind because she doesn't need to be seen as a serious osych to get profit from vulnerable women who will not know difference between reputable and non reputable practitioners and still purchase her stuff online.

She's found a niche, social media...a space outside of academia and research, where she can still pitch herself as an academic and researcher and gain likes and internet fame.

She's a healthcare influencer but the others actually have the training, so she's a rung below them imo.

I wonder if the controversy is actually enabling her and is counterproductive to what those who feel harmed by her need? I suspect she is not clever enough to have plotted all this, rather her natural combatative traits make her a candidate for click bait / marmite talking heads in the vein of people like lozza fox. The old no such thing as bad publicity!

Maybe it would all be better if oxygen became thin and was left to Vigo....and Pikachu(?)

WarnerBrothers Discovery who also made "Fraudsters" sold their stake in GB news last year. Legatum is now an investor. Their profile is curious as they talk about social mission. I've come across them recently.

I think lawyer is crucial for the victims ...through crowdfundict etc.

I agree her goal is completely publicity above all else..amber, Britney or Meghan it's all just get her name out there, get more Facebook fans, get more people to "like" her posts which she equates with reach and power.

She does have power. She has no respectability. But does she care ?

I noticed on her twitter she only shared screenshots without her title on. Probably because she knew the mistake and didn't want to look like she was perpetuating it and can blame it on netflix.

Realistically she does know, because she's watched the program and reads this (Hi Jess), so I wonder what steps she's taken to get it corrected, knowing it's a protected title.

Probably none, because it gets her more credibility. Which means she's actively deceiving people now.

She wants those people to follow her, argue with her, and for her to then make fun of them, all for social media drama.

The thing is I guess she can't really get a job as any kind of actual researcher after associating her name with such BS but what does she mind about quality research being out of her range when being a troll and influenced is where the big money is? Her name in lights is the big goal.

Jess: I'm so young, basically still a teenager myself, stop oppressing teenagers by saying that they don't have the decision-making capacity of an adult.
Also Jess: Age gap relationships are wrong when they involve a teenager, because teens don't have the decision-making capacity of an adult. My wife was 21 though so it's totally OK

This tweet is ridiculously, no one has said either, because she makes such over the top, dramatised made up comments. How can you have a serious conversation with someone who does that?
