I know this is about documentaries but I just listened to the most disturbing podcast 🙈 has anyone heard of the cindy James case?

I listened to this whilst doing my errants on Monday and almost vomited in fear in Lidl at the 'phone call'. I wasn't expecting that ending, and still a bit suss about it. Has their been any TV docs about it? I find it so strange that there isn't, especially as it seems perfect for film or tv.

Apparently it was on unsolved mysteries back in the day. But to me it’s obvious that the phone call was a woman! So many things about that case were scary. Like the phone calls she got that were traced to the airport and the guys at her ex husbands front door 🥴🥴

There’s a 2 parter that starts tonight at 9pm on channel 5 about the James Bulger murder . Today and tomorrow. I find it difficult to try and understand why they did what they did
I've only followed the case here and there over the years but did one turn out to be a bad seed and the other you don't really hear anything about now? I remember there's been a few identity reveals over the years.

Yeah I think one went on to lead a normal life and the other keeps getting nicked for possessing indecent images of children . Wanker , strip him of the extremely expensive secret identity I say

No I believe they are both evil c$nts, they tried them as children fair enough as they were but they were old enough to know right from wrong, to go to the lengths of putting him on the train tracks so he would be decapitated goes beyond normal thinking. The defense teams used their upbringing as an excuse. They should have never had new identities over and over again, one is a paedophile protected to this day.
Cases like this always makes me wonder how strong a defense solicitor must be, I couldn't do it. The police who do the interviews aswell, hats off.

The first ever series of How the other half live (i think it was renamed to rich house poor house, horrendous) there were two young girls, one with a struggling single mum in a london housing estate and another was boarding school in Sussex. I remember a follow up episode where the London girl was offered a boarding scholarship at a private school. Think about it a lot for some reason! Yolanda and Grace I think their names were. Can't find much when googling about it anymore, I assume they asked for record of it to be removed. Always wonder if that opportunity changed her life for the better or not

Currently watching Return to Dunblane with Lorraine Kelly. It only started ten minutes ago and I’m already in bits. I was around the same age as those poor children. I remember when it happened and my own mum crying over it, it hit so close to home. How scared those wee souls must have been and their lovely teacher, so brave, she tried to fight the shooter off and protect them. I have a 5 year old myself now, as a mother it doesn’t bear thinking about. 😢 💔

Just watching this on catch up! So very heartbreaking. To think those innocent children would have been in their 30s now!
Dunblane is about 30 mins from where I live, so even more of a reminder that it was just on our doorstep almost☹☹

Just watched the James Bulger documentary! So heartbreaking,!
I always think that Denise, his Mum, has always remained dignified in documentaries and interviews she has done over the years
I thought it was nice to see his brothers too

I watched the Jamie Bulger doc the last two nights. I remember it happening and the shock that it was children who did such a terrible thing. Denise Bulger should be proud of the dignity she has maintained to this day, what a strong woman, I don’t know how she got through it. And as she said in the program, lots of kids go through difficult childhoods, but don’t go on to torture and murder. Very difficult to comprehend.
Going to watch the Dunblane doc next week, too much sadness to take in over 3 nights☹️

She has always blamed herself, saying ‘ I wish I never let go of his hand ‘ 😰😰😰

from what I can see Yolanda thrived at boarding school, and went on to study music at Brighton University. A great result.
