I really want to believe this is the case but the cynic in me says otherwise

Oh for fucks sake. THERE IS NO “DEPHER COMMUNITY FUND”.

Classic conman technique of victim blaming and misdirection - “we got all her documentation to justify the request” As if that is the issue here James…..

Update, the homeless people get the shipping container 🥰🥰🥰

Again, it’s the weird phrasing that shows who he really is and what he believes. People who are REALLY living rough. What does that even mean? Is this another of James’ Animal Farm policies?

Honestly, these people tell you who they are. It beggars belief people fall for it.

Burnley has cold weather rough sleepers spots.
Also really bad idea, homelessness is complex

It’s barely worthy to be called an idea.
The fact he has posted a PUBLIC NOTICE on Facebook to find a taker for his shopping container “homeless hub” really underlines how completely clueless he is. It’s giving Carly Burd “does anyone know any food poverty charities I can give money away to” vibes

He has really “learned from his mistakes” here hasn’t he.

Advertising on Facebook a shipping container for a stranger to keep homeless people in. Mother of God, surely he is trolling us now?

He wants to pack the homeless in like an oversized sardine can?

There's all manner of regulations why that is illegal, not least because it would be a disaster in the event of a fire. And the absence of a toilet or washing facilities. And safeguarding.

This is also why it was a bad idea for a youth hub. The neighbourhood watch group really didn’t think it through either.

Perfect dimensions for a 00 gauge model railway setup and meets, though - which, as the delivery address was for the railway club and not the neighborhood watch (wonder if FIL is a member?), makes far more sense; and then he realised misappropriating funds to facilitate a shitload of Hornby and older men discussing the relative merits of GWR and LNER liveried collections whilst arguing over the best sheep models and whether there should be diverse little figures instead of the default white ones sold at the time wouldn't fly, so wedged in the 'this is for teenagers' bollocks.

My understanding is the NW meets at the railway club. “Rosegrove Railway Club” being an old style northern working men’s club (pub/bar).
