He’s deleting and limiting comments as of today. Before this there was about 16 comments or so comments and one faceless anonymous account going to the end of the earth to defend him of course.

Sigh. It wouldn't be wonderful at all. It's a bleeping shipping container, with no facilities and no links to any support services.

There are converted shipping containers close to where I work. But they have been made into small living spaces and are right next to a homeless hostel and support hub. They are kind of 'moving on' accommodation. So people living there are engaging with the services available right there for them.

One of Jimmys staunch defenders commenting this.
1) the council would not accommodate a shipping container for free, anywhere.
2) he has not “come up with a project”. Saying you’re going to use a shipping container “for the homeless” is not a project.
3) “about time local councils got on board with you” - Burnley BC have given him 12 payments of £400 over the last few years alone and for some reason, Lancs CC social services have constantly referred vulnerable people to him. If anything councils should be doing the opposite and steering well clear of this charlatan.

The Depher Homelessness “Project”: here’s an empty hut, somebody could put it somewhere or something. What, they’d be out of the rain, wouldn’t they?
this is all reminding me of the start of the year when he was apparently alerted to the plight of a homeless man living in a field in a tent and instead of signposting to the authorities he took a photo of the tent?
memory is hazy, but there's something on these threads about it.

Yeh it was a tent in the snow lmao

A big fat IF this is true, what good is dried pasta, tins of spam and other tinned/dry ingredients to a #homeless person?

no due dlligence, no contract and he wonders why he is now left with this portacabin. Looking at it how does he think a corridor is going to work as a community hub? Laughable that this got this far. Anywhere he dumps this now is going to need planning permission. I hope they bring it from Manchester and put it on his doorstep
