Depher/CPH CIC #2 The erratic and reactive way you run this causes half your problems

The reason he has to pay all that tax is because he is hoarding donations and not spending them. This is his fault. There is no need for them to be paying any corporation tax at all. (Incidentally this is what is going to happen to Carly Burd).

Makes you wonder why he’s so persistent with crowdfunding when he already has so much money he simply can’t spend.
 
Just a point re CIC and Charity. There are many legit CICs that do amazing work and run similar to charities, but choose not to go the charity route for legit reasons. (Eg, easier to pay a wage, even small ones, to founders) let’s not tar all CIC as not charity as most could register as such and work as such.

There are those who have watched Depher from the start have spotted odd behaviours and the same attitudes from then. I’m not sure he started with different intentions

I have a suspicion he is paying his wife and/or other family from donations to do spurious tasks like running the shop, ans the shop in its various incarnations seems like a vanity project.

His daughter Paige has been in the local rag a few times as ‘the manager’ of one of the shops.

I understand that they have similarities but by definition a CIC is not a charity

Claiming the tat in the “fun”bola shop is paid for by profits. Let’s be honest Jimmy, you’re flogging donations made by well meaning folk for more £££
