Deliciously Ella #4 Bland burgers and branding under CEO Matt, daily affirmations won’t change that

1
They do literally nothing that would help people shift their mindset. Nothing! They don’t educate. They don’t set up school programs where children learn about nutrition and food and how to prepare food. They do not help anywhere with healthy food options for those who can’t afford it. They are doing nothing at all to actually help. They are a business, just like any other business. Ella preaching about their mission to be the biggest and best when it comes to changing how people it is literally delusional as well as gross. She talks like they were a charity or at least an NGO.

Hire a stylist goddam. Is CEO Matthew dressing her now?

The "more plants for more people, more of the time" is so cringe! And she's doing nothing to make plant-based food more accessible. Instead they're slapping enormous profit margins on chocolate-covered almonds and branding them "healthy"

For instance we never see her wandering the aisles of Aldi and showing how you could make an affordable vegan dinner with some canned beans and tomatoes, etc. Or a plant-based grocery haul for under £20. These are really simple things that might make plant-based food more normalised and accessible to average people. Instead she's too busy shilling her own merch and books desperate to prove herself.

There's a huge disconnect. She can't be the business owner bragging about £1 million worth of sales and then trying to pivot into the war on junk food and preaching about how plant based food needs to become more accessible, just buy my £5 almonds...

Omg… if she can’t see how opportunistic Matt was/is she is stupid!!! I would NEVER entrust my business to someone I just met. No matter her background, she had a good thing going with her first books and all. I used to enjoy her books and “universe” - until Matt came along and tried to make her a world famous brand.

How could her parents be okay with this? I mean, I am almost certain she has an ironclad prenup - especially with her assets before marriage. Matt is from a wealthy family too but surely not comparable to Ella’s wealth? I would never let my daughter (I don’t have a daughter but still) just hand everything over to a guy she has know for less than a year!! Her hand in marriage, her business and a whole lot of money(even if it is not his, he can convince her to spend them however he wants)

Matt really hit the jackpot by meeting Ella at that time of her life. Young, impressionable and naive. I hope she is genuine happy for her choices though - seems odd to me she would happily give him so much credit for everything when SHE is the one people wanted/want.

A brag a day...

Also is she seriously asking that last question? She's so oblivious to the massive privileges she's had.

I don't see any other brand using social media for posts like this.

Has a wiff of insecurity to me....

I think the point if we cab do it why can't others is about using emulsifiers etc. But without nut butter she would be bust!

How many nut butters does a human need to consume?!

Matt comes from “old world money” too. Also it was Ella’s dad who introduced them. Honestly I think Ella’s parents have that old fashioned mentality that two “powerhouses” were united in this situation. But they literally don’t have friends or a life and that’s just so bizarre

Maybe her dad was scared she would run off with someone like The Body Coach and wanted her to marry someone presentable from a good family 😂

Upper class arranged marriage

Keep that money close...more power together rather than it dissolving. Been happening for centuries.

I’m still annoyed at the gall of her rich ass to suggest a tax on “bad” food. It’s particularly disgusting when you considering the profiteering done by supermarkets since covid. Maybe start by REDUCING all the price gouging of basic items if you want to actually help people? But oh no can’t do that, it might slightly reduce the size of mummy’s Sainsbury’s dividend cheques 🎻

It's kind of sad how she credits everything DE to Matthew.

I bet they treat the people that work for them as insignificant cogs in the machine.
I don’t know how she can put that post up about Matt as if it’s something to celebrate?! I’d be embarrassed by the number of red flags which scream unhealthy relationship / taking advantage of a young woman - especially when you consider the age gap with Ella being in her early 20s back then while Matt was early 30s, and the situation with her parents going through a high profile divorce at the time making her vulnerable.

Is she seriously blind to them?! 🚩

Yes exactly! Whenever I see these posts boasting about how they moved in together after the first date and he quit his job to manage her business almost immediately I'm just like ... Ella that is not the flex you think it is? It makes Matthew sound predatory as hell, and like you were just desperate for a man to come and take charge of your life???

And now s
Let’s not forget that per that interview with the cursed photoshoot, and many others she’s done, she had just got out of a serious relationship when they met AND Matthew already had a girlfriend! But sure let’s move in after a week and then give him the entire business, it’s just so romantic and not at all 🚩🚩🚩🚩

Exactly 🚩🚩 and now she rarely sees her friends(she says so herself) and is worshipping Matt. Giving him ALL the credit for everything - boosting his ego with dedications on IG to her many, many followers..

I completely disagree she recently made a little video with some chubby followers and they shared how happy they were now that they read her cookbook and ate a bean and an apple.... she would never wander into Aldi because she's never had to. she doesn't need to spend £20 feeding a family because she's never been at the check out and prayed to the Gods that her card won't be declined. She's deliciously delusional and her husband looks like a serial killer.

Not sure what you're disagreeing with? We're basically saying the same thing. That she's tone-deaf, privileged and only interested in herself!
