Deliciously Ella #4 Bland burgers and branding under CEO Matt, daily affirmations won’t change that

1
Matthew is the most bizarre man with zero interpersonal skills.
---
They won’t spend any money on their staff. To the point that they did an away day where you had to share a tent with someone else from your team. Urgh.
---
No-one was allowed a company phone so you had to use your own for business use.
Matthew is the type of boss that would get in trouble constantly if the UK’s labour laws ever catch up to anything similar to France’s, where it’s illegal to contact people outside of working hours.

Has Ella genuinely just posted about needing time off 3 weeks after getting back from a holiday in Thailand?!
---
She’s saying she needs time by herself? Didn’t she just also get back from a break with just her and Matt too?

Don’t you know that Matt and Ella don’t take holidays? They only had Thailand, Singapore, Venice, Spain, and Finland last year. They only have the one nanny, how could they possibly find time for themselves?! Matt only plays 18 holes of golf every week, that’s only 5 hours to himself on a weekly basis. It’s an absolute nightmare and I don’t quite know how they survive.

I find it incredibly sad that an almost 33 year old woman never ever had a day for herself and only just discovered it’s actually a good thing. I wonder if she will finally wake up to realise that she was sold a big fat lie about what the ideal life is like and she was told she always has to be busy and do stuff and strive to build something insanely big… just like how she raises her daughters.

on top of this, this is really a barefaced lie once again as she did spend days at home, on her own when everything was “too much”.

Just like when she conveniently forgets all their holidays (“first holiday all year!” type comments she always makes 🙄) saying this is her first day by herself is definitely a lie too. I remember she put up a story last year about how she went out for a day trip on a train somewhere by herself (as if it was a big deal) and we all cringed on here!

I’ve said it before but I think there’s some stunted development going on - it’s like she’s still a teenager with a start up “buisness” idea (despite the fact DE has been around for nearly 12 years now!) excitedly sharing her trials and tribulations on Instagram while “father figure” Matt ultimately controls everything

She will look back one day and be confronted with her choices. Working yourself into the ground is no longer the flex she thinks it is. Money is useful and she is used to having a lot so feels she needs to make a lot herself BUT it’s far far far away from the real purpose of life. No one on their deathbeds looks back and says they wish they’d worked more. No one.

Except Matt, he will be the one regretting not forcing a labor law to force people to work 24x7. They are both idiots thinking they are doing something revolutionary. Are you doing open skull surgeries? No, chocolate almonds are not saving lives bozo.
