The weekly text or call the premium rate number competitions must net them an absolute fortune too.
The don't have live music (except for orchestra week when they do it, and it's cracker when they do in fairness) and they apparently don't pay the pros or "celebs" well so you'd have to wonder how it's not a great money-spinner for RTE!

Why is it ending? It's really popular and surely makes RTE a lot of money - is it not paying for itself.

It might be more to do with the production company but, yeah, especially as it kicks off in dreary January you'd think it's a win win for RTE

Pros announced:

Pasquale is out and replaced by Michael Danilczuk who used to dance with Jowita from Strictly. All 11 others are back. Guessing some might not get celebs though if it's true they are reducing the cast.

They’re mad to be cancelling this show - they get a decent lineup (for Ireland) every year, it’s popular and had good viewership.
