Note the article says this 'may' happen. I think it's a good idea for people who should have the vaccine but are undecided or unwilling to risk their health.
It would put me right off ,once there's a doubt money wouldn't pay me to take a chance ✋...I did take a chance but that was before adverse reactions were a thing, that what's so off putting about the next stage of vaccinations ,,,mixed vaccines plus a flu jab ( never been done before ) yet people feel they need to judge people for being hesitant :cautious:

Dame Sarah talking sense. It's the job of adults to protect kids not the other way around. Getting them to take this new vaccine when they are so little risk is not right.

When all over 18s have had the chance of two jabs our supplies must go abroad to get more adults jabbed. This is the best way to slow down variants from new mutations.

I'm optimistic we will open up fully on the 19th but I do believe that we should continue mask wearing on public transport for the remainder of the year. I just feel that incrementally it could have some effect to reduce transmission in the short term, or even potentially lessen the risk of flu or winter viruses between September and December.

We will soon be even more open. I am surprised scanning QR codes will be dropped as it isn't a big deal to scan them. I don't see many businesses keeping them about when they no longer legally have to, but some will.
It isn't a big deal scanning then but there is increasing number who refuse to use the app. So shops have to keep paper records.

The biggest queues I have experienced recently are where a group of 6 are entering a restaurant or pub and none of them have the app. It can take 10 mins to get all their details and who knows if they are correct

The rates and chances of isolation are so high where I am, I’m actually avoiding doing activities/spending money where I could be isolated.

Nothing to do with fear of covid - more fear of my children not being able to go to school and me to work etc.

Completely crazy!

Life is always a risk. We need to get back to trusting our immune systems like we always have. If we want to eliminate risk let's ban cars incase someone crashes, booze, cogs, going to town incase we get mugged etc.

Life looks really good.

I don’t mind wearing a mask, that being said, I don’t wear them 9 hours a day at work. I only wear them when doing face to face work. I do find them claustrophobic, but I’m a complaint pleb and do as I’m told.

I don’t know what I’ll do when it’s an option. I like the way it stops me touching my face.

I’m excited at the prospect of restrictions being eased completely, although it’ll be weird if people come too close for comfort.

Had a positive LFT this morning. Booked in for PCR at 1.30 this afternoon. Woke up feeling full of cold. Sneezing, runny nose and a banging head. Was due to test today anyway as testing twice a week with having kids at secondary school but was shocked to see two lines

Good luck for your PCR 🤞🏻my son had those symptoms but returned a neg test , hopefully you’ll be the same…I’d blame that bush you slept in 😅

Anyone think that Boris will lift restrictions on next Sunday if England are playing in the final of Euro 2020? So many will just ignore them anyway that they might as well make the pubs actually make a bit of money.

Hope so and he is probably thinking it. Personal responsibility after all....

The nation would be that hungover we would need the Monday to be a bank holiday.

I'm in the North East and it is horrendous here at the moment.
Three separate people have said to me recently that only now are they starting to hear of people they know testing positive. The town i live in is screwed. Schools and year groups closing everywhere. Just found out this morning my best friends brother in law has been in hospital with it since Thurs. He's really poorly.
My kids school has literally just closed year 1 due to a positive. I have kids in reception, year 2 and year 3
Year 3 only went back last week due to 5 cases.

I need you all to pray for me that none of my kids bubbles go because I'm still in the process of moving house 🙈

how is the vaccine rollout there?

It’s above the national average - it’s just rife in schools. We’ve had a letter from our local council, saying it’s schools causing it. When they are closing bubbles they are finding more and more cases.

The school next to me closed a bubble and 11 cases were found out of 30.

Interesting no noises about extra testing in the NE - yet

Ah, I see. I did read that the UK may not even vaccinate children. In Canada, we vaccinated kids 12+ and it made a huge difference. We had children ending up in hospitals for a while.
